im listening to doe or die 2 rn and im like wowi'm gonna go out on a limb and say that "Gimme yours" is AZ's all time favorite song of his cuz this mf always doing something with that joint whether re-doing it, remixing it or adding something to it every 10 yearsand if he was gonna do a part 3 to it, at least change the GOT DAMN HOOK! and waste a Jada feature at that is unforgivable
On paper, it was promising, Large pro on the beat and a jada feature, im over here thinking it was gonna be another "The hardest" like that Styles P joint.
Luckily the rest of the production holds up and doesn't disappoint. The Nas joint felt like esco gave him a "mass appeal stimulus" like he was giving everyone under the label. meaning, it didn't feel like they we're in the studio together, more like "here dawg, i'm kinda busy so take this" i prefer "My Story your Story" and the signature back n forth they perfected, feels more genuine and real chemistry even though i love the production on this one. The song with him and his son def sound like they have a chemistry of their own and he's pretty nice with it. Bink came through with his 2 joints, should have a whole album produced by him, it feels like his production fits AZ like a glove. Statik Selektah did his thing on "Still Jackie", really fw that joint. Overall i give this album a 7 out of 10. I'ma run it back a few more times this weekend. I'll say this, Ain't nothing on this album beating "bullet proof" from the last Doe Or Die 2, that was an instant classic for me and one of Bink's best beats overall.

this 3rd album is immaculate, some virgin mary style rapping and focused tracks.
the sound jazzy and stripped down works well after doe or die 2 was much more flashy

AZ's voice and flow are as sharp as ever on here, and the smooth luxurious production fits him well. That's the sound AZ shines best on IMO. I wasn't a big fan of part 2, but I'm fukking with this album heavy.
I hate how little time ive had for music recently but ima peep today or tomorrow.

A lot of people might not know/remember this but he also put out DOD 15th anniversary album in 2010 with new songs and remixes. So this is basically DOD 4. Maybe he should just keep making them at this point lol.

as much as some people feeling the production on DOD 3, ain't nothing f*ckin with what Bink! did on this joint "bulletproof" on part 2. He went deep into the stash he saves for Ross and said "nah A, you'll kill this better". Bink continuing being one of the most underrated producers of all time
