This is how Lord Zedd from Power Rangers got ruined, he came in and crushed the building making the rangers fall back. Then moms started to complain about Zedd being "too scary" and they made him a comedy villain as a result. , there's no level of threat because they villains are neutered because of bytches with kids. I noticed how they did my boy Zedd, Zedd was a monster when he debuted, after that he was team rocket status. . Fukk outta here with this team rocket bullshyt, I want some real ass villains doing real ass heelish things, catching bodies and making the heroes look foolish. That's why nikkas went crazy when dragon ball z hit the scene. You had frieza and them goons crushing buildings all over the place. That's what made the eventual conflict better, You had a build up, because you witnessed first hand the kind of atrocities the heel committed, people don't appreciate proper heel development anymore.
I grew up watching the original teenage mutant ninja turtles and all of that but truth be told the cartoon shouldn't have been that campy, shredder should have been like the way he was depicted in the movies. A straight up deadly motherfukker who is capable of shutting shyt down, the good guys shouldn't be able to win effortlessly at the end of each episode. .
Outside of Justice League, gargoyles, avatar, most cartoons got

Age of Apocalypse was great...he ruled for 4 months str8.Took over all the books..kept the upper hand. Then he had to face the top guys away from his army...

Sounds dope, I know that comic heads don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. I followed the x-men cartoon, I liked how they handled apocalypse .It was definitely a sign that things would get darker, but I know they couldn't get away with doing what they did in the comics.I like storylines that revolve around a sense of hopelessness, an uphill battle where things are not in the heroes favor. That's probably why I liked WCW sting/nwo feud because it was dark. If you were a remotely conventional good guy, the NWO would devour you on sight.
