And before i forget.

Did i mention how while closing schools in black communities, here in Chicago, they're building beautiful new schools in latino communities in this same city?

If you want, we can visit that too.
They're closing schools in part due to low enrollment and low graduation rates. Robeson High School is going to be replaced with a new high school soon, in the Englewood Community, slated for a large student population. Republican-pushed charter schools are taking a chunk of the student population and causing enrollment in the publics to fail.
I know for a fact that one of the schools that was built in the PR community was 100% due to mass-community involvement backed by numerous policies put forth by an incredibly involved community. You're telling an 1/8th of the story and making it sound like Democratic incompetence as opposed to a myriad of factors.
The broken-up communities from the remnants of the Robert Taylor homes aren't lobbying and putting mass-effort into community change and education building.

Im stupid? :russ:

Dude let me break down how uninformed you are.

CEO Forrest Claypool (democrat) just resigned from CPS due to an cover up of misappropriation of school funds.

Barbra Byrd Bennett (democrat) was the previous CPS ceo who basically did the same, she's in jail now. Im going to let you do the leg work to figure out the difference between those two.

The school with rats in bronzeville, NTA, had rats in it and thats a thriving middle class community.

They've closed public schools, here in chicago, claiming they're underperforming and replaced them with corporate owned charter schools. Those schools aren't doing any better, but they still have the government money being funneled into that system.

Mayor Emmanuel (Democrat) is slated to close 12 more schools in February 2018.

And i can go on with examples on how this democratic ran city have fcked over black people. Continuously.

Bruce Rauner, the republican governor of this state, just said in a press conference that he can't and doesn't run the state. Due to a strong Democratic presence in Springfield lead by Mike Madigan, the democrat.

So you can keep quoting those CAC liberal media talking points, but democrats are good at fcking over black people.
I'm quite familiar with Barbara Byrd-Bennett, she was the CEO of CMSD when I was younger. You're attempting to tie individual corruption with an inherent ideology, no one is buying your bullshyt. NTA was largely low-income, I don't know who told you differently. Chicago schools have been underperforming, for decades, because the students are low-income, have minimum parental involvement, high-performing students are funneled to local magnet schools, continued endemic gang violence makes truancy and chronic absenteeism a huge issue, charter schools (again, at the behest of the DeVos family and numerous other wealthy Republican backers) have also taken up numerous students, and the inherent educational debt of multiple generations of Black and Latino families that also attended failing schools.

You're trying to tie issues that aren't related to ideology, that have plagued Chicago for nearly a century, to Democrats, as if they created the issue when it simply isn't true. Some of the recent CEOs have exacerbated the issue, but regardless, the issues would still be present.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Thomas said:
This isn’t even remotely the issue.

That's EXACTLY the issue and has been for over 3 decades. Liberals want more money for 'education' but the funds don't go to the schools or the classrooms. Instead, the overwhelming majority of the funds go to bureaucrats, PACs, and administrators whose job it is to oversee how the funds are spent and.........................ask for MORE MONEY FOR EDUCATION......

Baltimore Burning: It’s Not A Matter of Money. We Tried That

Similarly, the city may end up having to repay a federal education grant designed to help the city’s poorest schools, after an audit by the Department of Education found that much of the money was actually used for dinner cruises, makeovers and meals.

:stopitslime:

Just a vicious cycle that leaves the students out of the picture and results in stories like this. Baltimore schools have received more funding than most other schools in the nation so there's absolutely NO REASON for something like this to occur unless.....THE MONEY ISN'T GOING TO THE SCHOOLS!!!!!

Christmas break starts in a week, right? If I went to school there I'd just stay home from school "sick" until Christmas break

:myman:
One of the things I missed about being in school. Christmas break.

For the past 6 yes, I've been lucky. My job has shut down for at least 10 days around Christmas.

This yr tho, we have to work the 27th thru the 29th to do inventory:beli:

Cheap fukks don't wanna hire an outside agency to do it:pacspit:

Short term fix is electric heaters. It's unacceptable if they didn't turn to this bandaid solution.

With that being said, 2 weeks is not long at all to diagnose &/or replace a boiler.

Especially with it being a public entity, a lot of red tape. This ain't ain't as easy as putting in a new refrigerator.
