Game sharing is allowing someone else to log into their PlayStation with your credentials so they have access to your digital games.

Game sharing is frowned upon by Sony.

You cant get banned for game sharing. The purpose of gamesharing was originally for things like if you had two ps3's so you can download your games onto your other ps3. But everyone was just using gamesharing to trade games so they limited it from 5 systems to 2

He wasn't banned by Sony, he just had a primary account on someone else's PS4, to share games with them, and they stopped sharing. Don't give your account detail to anyone, to use this feature, you're supposed to physically log in yourself.
