They 100% trading that KP expiring $30 million deal and Hauser can pack his bags as well. Hopefully they can get a younger KP replacement.

Yes for sure, IMO a starting big man should be priority #1 in the offseason

Celtics can not have a lineup of 1 foot in retirement Horford, injury plagued KP, and Kornet. A young big is on my wish list

Porzingis unreliability is really disappointing, he’s the perfect player for this team when fully healthy. Was absent for 2 playoff runs(except for game 1 of the finals).

KP has to go. Can't wait around another year to see if he's going to be healthy when it counts. Horford can't plug that hole forever either.

I like the Simons trade because it's such low risk and high reward and gets us closer to cap flexible.

A Jaylen Brown trade doesn't make sense unless Brad is able to fleece someone else...

Damn shame what happened to my boy KPs lungs. I dint think he ever gets back to what he was. Gotta get someone to take on his expiring contract

The Simons trade caught me off guard cuz I thought for sure Jrue would be dumped for picks with minimal salary returning. We still way over the 2nd apron. More moves should happen.

I don't really like the Jaylen trade. Sure we'd get a lot of young talent, but it would be unproven young talent. By the time they figure out how to win and compete for championships, Tatum will be 31/32. And that's IF they ever live up to their potential. We know what we got with JB, and him and Tatum are just hitting the stage in their career where they figured out the mental aspect of the game. A core of Tatum, Brown. and White is pretty damn good.

Tbh I won’t be shocked if they try to build Simons value up and flip him at the deadline. Like I said in the thread it’s low risk, maybe it works out maybe it doesn’t. Not like we’ll be contending without Tatum

Shout out to Jrue though, great guy and appreciate everything he did here for #18 :salute:

I wouldn't be so sure that we can't make the finals next season.

Haliburton and Dame being out as well makes the East a lot more open. Brown, Porzingis, White, Simons, Pritchard and Horford or maybe some more Brad magic with more trades should be enough to compete in the East with New York and Cleveland's sorry asses.

I don't think that all of those guys will be on the team next season cause I do expect more trades but just speaking on what we have right now, I don't think it's that unrealistic to be competitive in a massively weakened East.

I would be

Porzingis won’t be here and it’s not a guarantee that Horford will be either

I’m not saying the team is gonna suck, they’ll be competitive. But losing a top 5 player is a major hit to your ceiling regardless

Yeah my exact thinking. Getting a 20 yr old and a draft pick (Who will be 19 yrs old) is just way too young IMO. That age gap from Tatum and White with those players would be too much. If the trade was for a 23 year old, then yeah it makes sense

I have a feeling Simons will be flipped tomorrow and Hauser might be traded. We are at 200 million, just 7 mil under the second apron. Still not enough to sign our picks and a couple players to fill out the roster. If Stevens is demanding a "massive haul" for both JB and White, a team might just call his bluff and make him an offer he can't refuse.

Vando, Vincent and a first for White. :unimpressed:
