"Bar Rescue" marathon on Spike

How did that turn out? I'd like them to do 1 year updates on past bar rescues just to see how those spots are performing.
Im not even sure but I know my boy dj lennox spins there at times...I dont club so I have no idea on traffic in there.
I fukkin love this show. He gets in owners and workers asses and fires people on the spot. He's so much better than that p*ssy ass Ramsey. I can't believe some of the shyt I see in these bars.
I saw that episode. Apparently they had murders there a few years ago and he did a hell of a job remodeling it and changing the name.
breh i live in this neighborhood, and the corporate bar was shyt. everyone hated it. people at work leave work to leave work, not to go out and be at a restaurant/bar that reminds them of work.
not only that, it's not smack dab in the middle of corporate territory. across the street is a dive bar that does really well, there's about 12 barbershops on the next 3-4 blocks alone, a church, a school, 5 ethiopian restaurants, a god damn fountain where kids run around in summertime in bathing suits, and a plaza that gets turned into an ice rink in the winter, but is a concert shell in the summer and spring.
Discovery is headquartered there, and there are office buildings, but its not strictly corporate. not even close. and even if it were, refer to my last point about people wanting to LEAVE work, not extend their stay over lunch.
yes, piratez tavern is a stupid bar that has 3 kids of customers: those who are into it (the minority), those who are likewhen they see the outside and go in on curiosity, and those who go to make fun of it.
but when i say he didn't rescue them, i mean he gave them one shyt bar for another. you couldn't even use the best part of the new bar, the self-service beer, which i already mentioned in my last post.
i see what your saying...it would matter what type of establishment they woulda gave that bytch and her staff they woulda fukked it up, bartenders who dont know how to mix drinks and fukkin juciano who couldnt make a bowl of cereal...maybe chilis or applebees should buy that lot.

the great thing about those blocks is there aren't any huge chains there. its 100% independent businesses on that strip of georgia that borders DC. so chilis or applebees would be shyt. there are some chain spots a few blocks over, but quality ones, not shyt cookie cutter family restaurants
it would be dope to have a hookah bar there, because they have a patio and maybe a balcony, too. hopefully piratez's landlord just stops being soft on them so we can get something better

i never defended her, i hate that bar. its on prime nightlife real estate and is a total waste. all i said was the show didn't do much better

I saw that pirate episode and honestly it looked like he just did not like her personally. In most episodes he usually keeps some of the character of the original place. This one he went extreme opposite on purpose IMO . He could have used a little of the pirate/buccaneers theme if he wanted too. The same way the Irish bars do and still keep a corporate clientele.
