Nigeria has weaned itself off of the teat of America and it begins to thrive. Trust me, it's not by coincidence. White imperialism thrives by exploiting weaker nations economically
As someone whose parents came from a nation that was exploited I just want to throw this out there:

Its not a zero sum game....many of the things you enjoy as a citizen of a developed nation DOES come at the expense of these unfavorable terms for "lesser" nations....

Its fine to talk about helping non-western nations...but that depends if you want to enjoy the same privileges you do at the same manner that you do. Because when others gain more leverage, you lose a lot of yours.

the same victim-hood mentality that impedes growth for black Americans here impedes the growth for Africans in Africa. As much as I dislike President Obama he's speaking some truth here. And the only solution for blacks here in America and for Africans in Africa is to quit giving us economic assistance. Its quite amazing how how Africans seem to have the same issues as black Americans but on a much ,much larger scale. Internal strife, failed leadership, not fully controlling their own economies and utilizing it to its full potential, petty differences, etcs. Africa is indeed rising but much of it is due to the presence of China. It seems like Africa is once again being suckered into colonialism.
I have heard on numerous occasions that in some African countries you'd be hard pressed to find a business ran by natives. Indians, Arabs, and Asians are taking over just as they have took over the economy of black communities here in the States.

The biggest thinking Obama could do is connect SKILLED Black American workers with African sectors that need them. Make it apart of "My Brother's Keeper."

They "came close" WTF does that mean? That they got shook because of the SOTU?

When the continent by and large is dependent on foreign funds, goods, services, and infrastructure, then how can it be economically independent? What plan does Obama have against the threat Trump made at the SOTU? Can this construed as another economic excuse by Africa or an actual reason for its financial and economic struggles?
