They "came close" WTF does that mean? That they got shook because of the SOTU?

When the continent by and large is dependent on foreign funds, goods, services, and infrastructure, then how can it be economically independent? What plan does Obama have against the threat Trump made at the SOTU? Can this construed as another economic excuse by Africa or an actual reason for its financial and economic struggles?
Fail at reading troll brehs. :russic00n:

Africa's weath/natural resources is still being stolen to this day, bytch nikka.

Basically why I can't cosign Obama on this. And, if you don't take that bribery check, they assassinate you. Read up on "economic hitmen". Basically, your brains or your signature is going to be on this treaty.

A civil war has to happen to oust and murder the useless c00n leadership class.
None of the heads of state can be trusted.

stolen by the same leaders he blasted that got the posters in this thread all in their feelings. these countries should have sovereign wealth funds for the betterment of their citizens, but that would mean less people in the leadership class getting rich off the country's resources. so that's never happening.

why he always gotta blame black people?
I honestly don't understand the point some of ya'll are trying to make: Africa won't be a success until white people show them mercy? Until the west decides to play nice with them?

I also don't understand why people hear someone effectively say "do better" and immediately assume that person is ignoring history, oppression, corruption, deep systemic issues, etc. These ideas are not in opposition. There can be personal responsibility and public failings at the same time. There often is.

With that said, I think public figures should stick to dealing and speaking to the larger systemic issues and public policy. Leave most of the bootstrap talk to individuals' parents, friends, teachers, neighbors, etc.

i don't even see what the big deal is, he's not attacking the common african he was attacking to their face the same scum that steal their people's money. it's not the white man stealing the nigerians or angolans resources, no it's the leadership class who are billionaires and milliionaires while the people suffer. and it's also not the white man's fault why oil (or other natural resources) rich african countries don't have a sovereign wealth fund and if they do have one it's so small and just a token to act like they're thinking about the future of their country and trying to share the wealth. strong man token democracy will never result in anything other than what we see now.

Pretend the reason Africans haven't industrialized isn't partially because of colonization, brehs
Pretend said African leaders weren't backed by American leadership, brehs

Who said that? Quote them

Pretend said African leaders weren't backed by American leadership, brehs
Yeah, and at some point American leadership was backed by mobsters. Now they're backed by lobbyists and big corporations. And we criticize them. And people don't defend that shyt. So what are you doing here? Providing context that nobody disagrees with? That everyone is aware of?

So by this logic its fair to criticize Obama just like we criticize lobbyist :mjlol:

this is one of the reasons why i never cared for obama. Dude can go do something for every other group and tiptoes around them, but does nothing for blacks and has the audacity to talk down on them like with his 'black men need to take care of their kids' speech.
