Meh. Jamaica still has the resources to thrive if their politicians stop being a$$holes.

I was surprised a year or two back when the Jamaican PM sided with Trump and against the Caricom in the matter of Venezuela.

Was a sad day.
What resources? They’ve got bauxite and tourism. They’ve had a succession of incompetent neocolonial PMs since independence except for Manley. Manleys election caused the US to freeze them out till now.
There was a PM named Hugh Rawlings who famously said Jamaicans don’t need education, just bread and a little bit of flour…

If I was bajan I wouldn’t mind going back. Barbados has 1st world living for a Caribbean nation. Only issue I have like the rest of the Caribbean is very small country geography wise. I prefer to live in a large nation. I guess this is why I’m always watching African real estate shows.


Still have yet to visit Barbados
