Barbers are now charging $60 for a cut in The Bay Area

Problem is, too many half-azzed barbers want to get the $$$ without putting in quality work.

In no business, do people raise their prices from 50% to 125% in such a short time, especially when wages have not increased.

That's true but nikkas really don't care. They want to look fresh regardless

These a$$holes are doing this because the next mf in the shop who might actually be worth the $ is charging like that. It only works well if you are in a shop.
Have business start closing up again because of COVID. I guarantee you a lot of barbers phones wont be ringing.

It's time for a universal protest and force them to,cut their current prices by half. If not, everyone cut their own hair and close down the shops that charge over $35.

I'm loc'd up and in the Bay Area at the moment. I just got my hair retwisted today. Was thinking about going into a barbershop afterwards but, my homie does mostly mine for free and it’s not bad. I’ll see how he does with this new style I have

In Memphis/Atlanta I was going to the barber damn near every week and it was always well done. Never more then $25 for a lineup with the beard as well

These Bay Area prices may keep me out the shop for a minute. I’m trying to save up

Dudes definitely wanna get sharp, but these clowns don't realize, a barber is a service, a lot of folks, could do without (when push comes to shove). If you gotta full head of hair, I'd be growing my shyt out, and goin in for line-ups, ONLY. Bald gang....taking my own shyt down, and ONLY goin in, to get the beard lined.

You can cop clippers, and start pushin the issue to cut yourself. At the least, you get sharp in the front, then hit a shop, on some....

Yep. A lot of barbers already complaining why their longtime customers are disappearing on them. They make over $700 in cash in a regular busy day, and they offer less services than ever.

Soon, Those barber chairs and barber shops gonna be empty again.

I used to go there and say a quick prayer and get a discount cut.
