I never discredited Bron. The first post I made in this thread stated Barkley and Pip as former players can spot potential better than any of us and this season was a great start for Bron to start entering the "better than" convo. I personally think he needs to do more because the season we're hailing is essentially MJ rookie season. I said nothing wrong. People just wanna argue for argument sakes.

You realize he entered the convo because he won a chip not because of his stats which have been pretty much the same since his 2nd year in the league?

LBJ definitely can threated Jordan as the greatest to ever play. He's gonna continue to get individual accolades and probably another title or two before its all said and done. He may not get the scoring titles that Mike got but he can surpass him in MVP's and All Nba teams and whatnot. He may not get six rings but i don't know why 6 rings is the barometer for being the greatest. When guys like Russell and Sam Jones are in double figures in ring totals. I think if he get's three or four titles a couple more MVP's and maybe another scoring title or two he can defintely threaten Mike's staus as the God.

:smoker:

:snoop: Basically, the quoted should be the only response to this outlandish statement my nikka. Even if Lebron plays for another 8 years, he would have to win 5 out of 8 championships to MATCH Jordan. Not be better, MATCH. Not to mention Jordan didn't have to team up with Larry Bird and Isaiah Thomas to do it :scusthov: Jordan already did what Lebron does with 32, 8, and 8 in '88 shooting 54% ( :whoo: ), so miss me with that sh*t and call me when Lebron does 37, 5, and 5 in a season. :heh: F*ck that fat f*ck, he mad 'cause he ain't got no rings.

Lebron will never be number one in my book because he had to join forces to get a ring. Kobe and Jordan didn't have to run to another team to win a ring. You could replace Lebron with Melo and the heat still would have win a ring.

Jordan had pip in his team :manny:

highlight for highlight Lebron got way more dunks.... jordans most famous highlights are acrobatic layups and fadeaways.......that's how i figure...mj got hops and dunked on everyone but he wasnt dunking all crazy and the goons didnt really check his G jordan was about that life...lebron woldnt bust a grape in a fruit fight...has he every thrown his hands?....

lebron cant drive the lane forever he better evolve that post game ....the greatest players learn to adapt there game to their fading skillsets.

:comeon:

nikka if MJ was having his way in the paint against all kind of goons, you think that LeBron would struggle to feast on these nikkas??

:skip:

Y'all need to hop off Jordan's dikk he doesnt like you nikkas :mjpls:

the level of stannery and stipid posts is unmatched. :whoo:

He entered the GOAT realm because he won a chip? In the same year KD was a strong last two weeks of the season from taking his MVP? In the same year the narrative about him was coming up short in the clutch? Naw homie...his MVP, playoff run, chip, and Olympic gold put him in rarified air. It's deeper than hoisting a trophy.

You could replace Kobe with LeBron on those Shaq Lakers teams and they win more than three rings. You can replace MJ with LeBron on those Bulls squads and they win all of the rings as well. (see how simple that "logic" is?)

That definitely adds to it, but lets be real. He doesn't enter the GOAT discussion if they lose in the Finals regardless of everything else or how well he played in the Finals.

Jordan averaged 37 per game one year shooting 48%. Let me type that again:

Jordan averaged 37 per game one year 48%.

Lebron has never done this.

Jordan averaged 32, 8, and 8 per game one year shooting 54%. Let me type that again:

Jordan averaged 32, 8, and 8 per game one year shooting 54%.

Jordan has also averaged more than 32 PPG 4 straight seasons. Jordan never lost in a Finals he played in. Sh*t, even talking straight athletics, Jordan won back to back dunk contests :jawalrus:

Lebron has never done that. So Lebron could be better than Jordan based on what? How can you be better than the man who can do everything you do, but you can't do everything he does?

Anybody comparing Jordan to Lebron by age has an ulterior motive. Point blank.

You using rings as a means to say Lebron is better than Jordan but, dismissing the fact that Lebron had a 3 year head start. 240 extra games. 3 extra seasons to get to the Finals :lolbron: fukk outta here with that faulty ass analysis. The "Lebron being good enough to play at 18" point is moot. Bron got lucky being born in this era. During the 1980s, nobody was doing that shyt. You took your ass to college. Had Jordan came outta high school in 2002, after it became accepted to do so, he could've just as easily went pro.

Lebron at 27: 3 Finals appearances. 1 Championship. 9 seasons played.
Jordan at 27: 0 Finals appearances. 0 Championship. 6 seasons played.

This comparison is fukking bogus. Bron has an unfair advantage from playing longer. Only valid comparison is using the same amount of games played.

Lebron at 9 seasons: 3 Finals appearances. 1 Championship. 27 years old.
Jordan at 9 seasons: 3 Finals appearances. 3 Championships. 30 years old.

See how lopsided that shyt starts looking :heh:

And I dont even fukk with Jordan like that.

Jordan got to polish his skills for 3 years under HOF coach Dean Smith.

Bron was coached by "his boy's dad" in HS, came straight to the league and was a 2x All NBA selection at the same point Jordan was still in college, just for good measure.

You can't just look at the years, that's not fair. A 30 year old is going to be way more mature than a 27 year old.

Bron is still young. He's still getting better. He's still maturing. He's already accomplished more than anybody else his age and jumping straight to the pros is a part of that. Was Jordan ready for the pros at 18? Before 3 years at UNC? Maybe, maybe not. Kobe wasn't ready. Garnett wasn't dominating right out the gate. Neither was McGrady or Howard. That's part of his legacy and he should get bonus points for that, you shouldn't hold that against him. Him being good enough to dominate at 18 only speaks to his greatness.

He's 27. Still a kid. When Jordan was a 27 year old kid he had no rings at all. He didn't start to win rings until he was a grown man.

So Bron was better as a kid, and has more rings as a young man. So why would it be crazy to think he won't outshine Jordan as a grown man like he has at every other level?

LeBron didn't get cut from his HS team either. :mjpls:

Blasphemy! :ohlawd:
I know but it's true. :manny:

And you can't look at age because Lebron played 3 extra seasons than Jordan at 27 :what:

That's why this shyt is stupid & pointless.

Edit: Keep on believing Lebron was better than Jordan at 18 and not that Lebron was just in a different time period. Jordan would've jumped from high school too had he been born 20 years later. If anything, Lebron should thank KG & Kobe for making owners feel comfortable taking risks on high schoolers. That shyt wasn't flying when Jordan was 18.

3 extra seasons as a teenager. You act like we're adding 3 years onto his prime. If anything you you should throw out LeBron's first 3 years and start comparing from his 4th year and beyond. Bron was in the Finals his 4th year. At the same age Jordan was entering the league.

You're just trying to twist the fact that LeBron is ahead of the curve at every level.

15 y.o. Bron > 15 y.o. Jordan
18 y.o. Bron > 18 y.o. Jordan
22 y.o. Bron > 22 y.o. Jordan
27 y.o. Bron > 27 y.o. Jordan

etc...

See the pattern now?

:childplease: Bron is basically a set basketball story once he got his ring. I said 3 years ago once he got one the media would start that "he better than jordan". "Bron is in the top 3-5"already" propoganda

At age 22? No. MJ was not beating the Spurs. Especially not with Boobie Gibson as the 2nd best player on the team.

:whoa:

LeBron was already 4 years deep. Give '88 MJ those Cavs and they make it IMO.

You can try and spew the "he needed a HOF!!" talk but those teams then were alot harder now. Try giving last year's Heat the Pistons of the late 80s or the 90s Knicks and they aren't making the Finals. :heh:

Yea right. Put lebron on those bulls teams and see if they win. Jordan and Kobe have that clutch gene.
