"If ifs were fifths we'd all be drunk" You can't play the if game with this. But I will.

What "if" Jordan didn't have Pippen and Phil Jackson as his coach? Because he didn't make the Finals until Jackson was coaching him.

LMAO. Jordan never let a finals go to Game 7 and he played teams a lot better than the Spurs team that was a free throw away from beating the Heat.

Jordan was on the best team and dominated as expected. I repeat.... DOMINATED.

LeBron is on the best team and he finds himself in more elimination games than I can even count. For a guy so amazing and for a team so super... the guy is always on the ropes.

So Chuck puts Horace Grant, Kevin McHale, Chris Bosh, Otis Thorpe, Pau over himself all-time? :ohhh: It's :mindblown: that an ATG with empty fingers would harp on rings. Then again based on his statements concerning race I guess it's shouldn't be surprising. :manny:

True, but Kobe always had to go through some crazy shyt playin in that western conference. It was a never a cakewalk into the finals. Whether he was playin second fiddle to Shaq or leadin the way on his own years later, his Laker teams always were always goin head to head with some really good teams.

People look at this past year and LeBron's Superheat had to go through the bucks, a bulls team without rose, and the pacers. And against a team who's best player is tony parker and tim duncan collectin social security.

Not sayin his ring don't count but people wanna see the man PROVE HIMSELF a little more. He still hasn't conquered that mountain yet.

And people look at Kobe 3 and say he was playing with the most dominant player in the game at the time..the Lakers only had to beat Nets to win a title...which is stupid on both sides.......YES LeBron still has to prove himself more but guess what barring a major injury he will continue to prove himself...you acting as if his resume is complete and then talking about "IF's"...there are plenty of "IF's" when playing sports and winning championships...and what "IF" Kobe never played with someone who has 3 Finals MVP's and was 7 foot beast..and what "IF" Kobe never got coached by a guy who has 11 rings..and what "IF" Chris Webber grabs the rebound and doesn't back tap it to Horry...we could go on and on but obviously you get the point...

I get what you are saying but his list actually doesnt reflect that. Jerry West, Wilt CHamberlain, and Oscar Robinson dont have as many rings as Kobe. Elgin Baylor has zero.

Thats fine :yeshrug:

and its understandable with so many great players like Magic, Walt, Oscar Roberson, Kareem, Jordan, Duncan, Russell, Kobe

A TOP FIVE will always be subjective. Never objective or set in stone

Funny you bring up elimination games:

When facing elimination

Lebron 31.5 ppg, 46% FG, 10 RPG, 6.5 APG, 45 MPG, 6-6 W/L
Jordan 31.3 ppg, 44.5% FG, 7.9 RPG, 7 APG, 41.6 MPG, 6-7 W/L
Kobe 21.5 ppg, 41.4% FG, 5.8 RPG, 3.5 APG, 9 -10 W/L

Even though they literally swept through the West one year. :usure:

Prove himself like how? Like go back in time and face the teams you deem worthy? :heh: Last years Spurs team is better than ANY of the teams the Shaq/Kobe Lakers ever faced. There are more championship caliber teams now than their were back then.

didn't you just prove his point?

I am talking about his 5 is better than 2 remark. What you pointed out actually makes him look even sillier. Five is greater than Wilt's 2 and Oscar's 1 too right? Only thing worse than the rings argument is being inconsistent and blatantly contradicting yourself while making it. :heh:

Right... and what IF the Lakers never snatch up Gasol. I get all that.

But for everyone that watched Kobe's career from start to finish, you know what you saw. You saw what this guy accomplished. LeBron is obviously more talented and more dominant than Kobe was but he's yet to prove he's a better WINNER than Kobe is. We haven't yet SEEN from LeBron what we saw from Kobe.

When the Heat won the championship this past year, did your opinion of LeBron James really change? Did he show you something you hadn't seen from him before? Did he really conquer that mountain?

Do me a favor and rewatch Game 6 against the Spurs, when the Heat were down by 5 and it looked like it was over. Look at LeBron's face on the sidelines. What was your perception of LeBron at THAT moment.

Because that says it all.
