It does have relevance. At least it does to me. Because he we are talkin about the all time greats and where LeBron's name falls in the ranks of history... so of course I'm gonna be a little hesitant to put LeBron over guys who proved themselves over and over throughout several years and won multiple championships. Duncan might have a few more rings to his name too if he played on a superteam or if he didn't have to go through the Shaq/Kobe Lakers.

But that's what I'm sayin. Duncan went through one of the most dominant teams of all time to win a championship. Now based on what you've seen from LeBron and his Heat team these past few years, do you think he could have done that? I don't think so. I see a guy struggling against teams like the Pacers and almost losing to a team led by Tony Parker and Senior Citizen Tim Duncan. If he had to go up against what Duncan went against in '03, I think the Heat get spanked. What's their answer for Shaq?

When LeBron won the championship last year it was like a sigh of relief. Like he got bailed out of a jam. And yes I acknowledge that winning is winning, but he is the best player in the game by a wide margin playing on the best team in the game by a wide margin. He should be the one calling the shots. He should be the one everyone is scared of. He should be the one dominating. Instead the Bulls without Rose take him to 6 games. Instead the Pacers led by Paul George and Roy Hibbert take him to 7 games. Instead he just barely squeaks by the Spurs to win the championship. Teams that are clearly inferior and should pose no real problem.

LeBron may be more talented than Kobe but ask yourself this question. Do you think the 2013 Spurs beat the 2010 Lakers? Or do the Lakers put them away in 6 convincingly.

Bro you are doing a lot of what "if's" and can this team beat this team...and the truth is we will NEVER know...we don't know if the Bulls could've beat the Rockets..we don't know, it NEVER happen and NEVER will..hell no one had answer for SHAQ and he and Lakers still lost their fair share of playoff series... team sports are about match ups so we don't know...and you keep saying where does he fall in ALL TIME GREATS...he's NOT DONE YET...again we don't go back and discredit who anyone beat to WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS, we just honor that they WON CHAMPIONSHIPS and MVPs...and you keep saying that TEAMS are are taking HIM to 6/7 games( and the Bulls win/without Rose have never taken the HEAT to 6 games)..last I checked you need your TEAMMATES to win, period!! Kobe needed GASOL/ARTEST in that game 7 against the Celtics.....LeBron needed Allen to hit that 3...it is what it is....

So are we looking back and saying WOW those New Jersey Nets, 76ers, and maybe even the Magic were juggernauts? Are we saying if it's wasn't for Ron Artest and Gasol going off in the 4th quarter of game 7 that the Lakers would have LOST...NO we are giving credit to the championship and moving on...
don't forget them blazers and kings teams that really had their #..or them getting taken to 7 by a yao less rockets..(i think tmac was hurt too) :mjpls:

all of this is true no debating that...and he probably thought " we are in deep s**t" which was the truth because they were... but I guess I'm confused as to why him thinking that( or us thinking that) has any relevance on them actually winning it? because he did come out after the timeout and hit a 3 and shot the other one which missed, so it wasn't like he RAN away from the moment..

Bruh, the Heat were a Ray Allen 3 away from LeBron being crucified for the entire summer. And just so your panties don't get in a bunch, Ron Artest saved Kobe in similar fashion in Game 7. But yea....that game was literally over without Ray and I knew the moment he flicked his wrist it was going in :wow:

I have acknowledge both situations( Allen/Artest).. and even in this post I stated "he probably thought we were in deep shyt", because they were...but I will ask you the same thing I just asked him, what does that have to do with them ACTUALLY winning it? Does this title NOT count or will be diminished once he retires?

Right... and what IF the Lakers never snatch up Gasol. I get all that.

But for everyone that watched Kobe's career from start to finish, you know what you saw. You saw what this guy accomplished. LeBron is obviously more talented and more dominant than Kobe was but he's yet to prove he's a better WINNER than Kobe is. We haven't yet SEEN from LeBron what we saw from Kobe.

When the Heat won the championship this past year, did your opinion of LeBron James really change? Did he show you something you hadn't seen from him before? Did he really conquer that mountain?

Do me a favor and rewatch Game 6 against the Spurs, when the Heat were down by 5 and it looked like it was over. Look at LeBron's face on the sidelines. What was your perception of LeBron at THAT moment.

Because that says it all.

:mindblown:
STOP bringing game 6 up like it was a bad thing.

Bron had one of the best 4th quarters in finals HISTORY. He out scored the whole spurs team. And had a triple double .

I'm sick of y'all tryna rewrite that moment.

fukk how you feel about "the look on his face".

Fact is Jordan never put his legacy in the hands of another player. From 91 onwards, and not including the half year he played in 95... Jordan got the job done. There are no "what ifs". When you go 6/6 in the finals and snatch up 6 finals MVP's, obviously it had less to do with luck. There was never a time when it looked like Jordan wasn't in control.

Meanwhile LeBron is constantly on the ropes. Constantly finding himself in elimination games against MUCH inferior opponents. This past year LeBron's legacy was in the hands of Ray Allen. LeBron was actually on the sidelines lookin upset... cause he knew his hands were tied.

Jordan's hands were never tied. You COULDN'T take the game from Jordan.

You don't know what you talking about bruh.

Are you even old enough to remember STEVE KERR hitting a game winning shot for the Bulls in the finals?

Do you remember the PACERS pushing the bulls to a game 7?

Brons numbers in his conference finals game 7 against the PACERS this year are better then Jordan's in his conference finals game 7 against the PACERS.

Y'all some ol goal post movers man SMH

.and you keep saying where does he fall in ALL TIME GREATS...he's NOT DONE YET

No doubt. And if in a few years time he keeps up at this pace and has a fistful of jewelry, I'll shut the fukk up and give the man his due. But RIGHT NOW, he ain't gettin put over Kobe. Or Duncan.

.again we don't go back and discredit who anyone beat to WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS, we just honor that they WON CHAMPIONSHIPS and MVPs

Would you rather read the cliffnotes or would you rather read the book?

I'm not tryna discredit what LeBron did. I'm tryna put what LeBron did into PERSPECTIVE. Remember, we're having an ALL TIME discussion here. Now if we're talkin talent? Then yea, LeBron is arguably #1. No player in history could do what LeBron could do.

But if we're talkin about the BEST? Which you know... involves winning? Then I'm sorry, I can't put LeBron in that conversation yet. Not in that Top 5. You could have all the talent in the world but if you're not winning then it don't matter. Is LeBron winning right now? Absolutely. Do I expect him win more in the future? Absolutely.

But if you look at what he's done so far... I mean really LOOK. Like I said we ain't talkin cliffnotes. We fans. We readers. We who watch the games. If you really LOOK at what this man has accomplished in terms of winning and HOW he's won thus far... can I say I'm MORE impressed by what he's done than what I saw guys like Kobe and Duncan do?

I'm gonna say NO. Not yet. He's yet to dominate on their level.

I've never seen a player have the goal post moved more then LeBron.

I'm convinced Bron would have to avg a triple double win 11 MVP's and 12 titles in a row before his haters start to give him just a LITTLE props.

The HEAT were not leaps and bounds above Indiana or the Spurs.....Yall keep falling for the hype of Bosh and Wade when their contributions were overstated most of the playoffs....Especially Bosh
