Troy Polamalu is very deserving of going to the Hall of Fame, but to mention Troy Polamalu in the same breath as Ed Reed? To me, it’s disrespectful,” Scott said.

In an attempt to explain why he feels it’s disrespectful, Scott talked in circles.

Troy was that dude period, but what say you Coli, are they comparable, is one better ??

It aint disrespectful but it's levels to it. Ed is elite amongst the elite.
i hear that, but if you were to put splash reel to splash reel Troy mad just as many plays, now mind you Troy player closer to the los than Ed so some things are going to not be as comparable

To me there's a clear gap between the two, however its disrespectful to Troy to talk about him like he has no room for comparison. Reed was better...Troy was great though and depending on how you feel about Earl, he's the 2nd best safety of the new millenium...

what’s the gap, keep in mind they played two different positions and roles in their defense

Ed played up in the box too before his injury at SS. Troy can’t ball hawk like Reed, nor can he bait QBs like Reed.

shyt, I think Reed got like 3 blocked kicks for TDS at SS......

I'll have to go back and watch them again cause its been a minute, but in real time I just thought Reed could do more. Reed could play both safety positions and did, his ball hawking skills were on another level, his reaction time is All-Time shyt at that position, you could line him anywhere on the field because he was more versatile...

Thats my remembrance of how I saw them both in real time, but Troy was amazing. He had a lot more help in the defensive backfield that I recall too, Chris Hope and Ryan Clark were really good safeties...

You do know Ed Reed played SS too in the beginning of his career right?

You should be stating why Troy is better than Reed

Troy constantly played closer to the los, and 32 ints is nothing to sneeze at he found the ball despite probably not being in the best positions to get one
