Yes. I don't see how the sport was ever popular in America. The potential for endless durations, people standing on bases, hardly any homeruns. The potential for nothing to happen for hours is extremely high.

I don't understand how baseball ascended but soccer didn't.
It was a good way to burn a day back when there was nothing better than do. Football games are longer than soccer games and baseball games are even longer than football.

Back to the topic, it's better at the park, outside that watching on TV, I use it to fall asleep or burn time at the job.

Baseball the GOAT spectator sport. Nothing like being outside on during a summer evening catching a game.

It's not a game for casuals to follow like basketball and football. I can understand why it's hard to watch on TV especially if you don't understand the game.

I follow the Braves and Dodgers and probably watch 120-130 games between both teams, probably more.
Hockey ≥≥≥≥ baseball ≥≥≥≥ everything else

I can see how all sports can be boring especially if you don't understand it. Baseball was my first love and now it bores the hell out of me.

I used to be obsessed with the NBA , now I'm pretty much at "wake me up when the Finals start" :russell:

Football was the last sport I got into because I used to think it was boring, now it's my favorite sport and I spend pretty much all day on Sundays watching it.

It’s less action packed than other sports. It’s like golf if golfers only hit the ball 3 out of 10 times. But I Iove watching baseball, really good background noise when I’m working. Going to the games is a nice summer time event.

It could or could not be. All about perception. Any sport can be exciting or boring, depending on the game. Baseball is similar to football in that there's longer distances between offensive possessions than something like basketball and hockey where the ball and pick keep changing between teams. Like if your team is pitching then you might find that more boring than if they were at bat trying to start a rally to comeback or trying to extend their lead. Like look at the NFL. If your team is down by 2 or 3 touchdowns in second half and driving down the field trying to catch up, then that's exciting. Or your NBA team trying to put on a late game rally down by 10. And of course playoff chase games and playoffs have some sort of excitement in any sport cuz of what's at stake. But everyone gonna have a different perspective on not just baseball but any sport. I'm not a heavy watcher compared to when I was younger but like others have said, the live experience is great. I've been to 3 MLB parks and hopefully get to go to all if not most just for the experience and to say I did. Prolly the same for the other sports if possible.

It’s an acquired taste.

There are few thing better than going to a baseball game IMO, but watching from home can be a drag unless you’re watching your team IMO.

I never grew up enjoying it, but baseball season is my favorite time of the year as an adult. I’m a Mets fan so Citi Field is special.

My nephew just won a gold medal with Team USA in Taiwan. Most excited i’ve been for a baseball game in my entire life.

I'm the same way. I rarely watch the nba regular season these days. Maybe when messing with the sports gambling, same with hockey. But I'll check them both out during playoff time cuz I know those are important games. I just know about all these trades like Kyrie and KD cuz of social media talking about it.

Same with football. Especially cuz of fantasy football over the years. Love watching red zone on Sundays. I'll even watch the primetime games without any players having an impact on my team just cuz it's my favorite sport.

Thing about football compared to baseball is way less games, so any nfl game can be meaningful and have an impact unlike mlb. Can say the same to some extent about nba and nhl. Early and midseason games with no significance can be boring.
