No great offensive player can just be "stopped", at that level you either hope to contain him or just hope that he has a bad shooting night or folds in some way or his teammates forget about him or something. The best you can do is throw different looks at him; the worst thing you can do against a great player is let them face the same defense consistently and get comfortable, no matter how good that defense is.

And of course, the Rockets aren't doing themselves any favors in this series by constantly leaving him wide open. He's doing some incredible shyt this series but for some ridiculous reason the Rockets don't stick with him on broken plays. If I'm coaching the Cavs I tell Iman Shumpert to follow Steph Curry around and that's it on defense; don't go for steals, don't go for rebounds, don't leak out, don't go for a fast break, nothing.

Rockets don't have any PGs under 35. With Beverly out they were fukked

He runs off of so many screens though. When he doesn't have the ball you still can't give him any space. Do you know how difficult that is to do? To stay in front of a man that's getting screens from Bogut, Green and Ezeli isn't easy. Alvin Gentry knows how to counter a lot of that aggression.

I don't think you can. Dude is automatic, doesn't matter if he's contested. Too shifty with an elite handle and great moves to go with it .

Here's the major problem also, they got shooters who have high basketball IQ everywhere on that team and Curry is a great passer. You double Curry and somebody will move to the right area and Curry will find them. The Warriors are what it looks like when you have a legend with the right team around him.

Then once anybody on that team gets hot, see ya. If that happens to be Curry or Klay you're getting blown out.

My cousin said it best once, the moment you see that team drop back-to-back threes you better go back and dunk on somebody or call a timeout, respond in some type of big play, or you're gonna get ran out the building because they're gonna go on some insane run. As soon as you see two threes drop it should be: "timeout."
