I'm not even the hugest fan of NLU compared to Kendrick's other disses but you'd have to be clinically insane to think the song isn't organically popular.

Drake who didn't 'see color' or racism til black folk in Atlanta made him feel 'othered' wore black face, supposedly as some sort of bamboozled inspired social message and then proceeded to not say anything about black issues thereafter...not that he HAD to, but all of that adds context to the patterns of disconnect.
