The 8 year time gap, Talia being revealed as the main villain, and Bruce's lack of intelligence will forever be a stain on the movie for me. Nolan too often forgot that Batman is as good a detective as he is a fighter, that essential component was missing most glaringly in TDKR. Atleast BB and TDK had some substantial detective aspects, without that scene of Bruce looking up where Selena lives he does zero detective work.

Word. The world's greatest detective, a man so paranoid he admitted he'd have his butler followed, the man who is always steps ahead of everyone else, couldn't figure out that Miranda Tate is actually Talia and the daughter of his mentor and one of his greatest enemies? There's a lot that happens in that movie strictly for story as opposed to good character work. They built the characters around the story as opposed to building the story around their characters

to be honest i think batman begins is the best one in the trilogy. No annoying voices, great story, believable or at least more logical fight sequences and Gotham felt like Gotham vs Chicago or Pittsburgh like in the other films.
yeah the villians weren't as good as the joker but everything else was better.

I feel the same exact way. A lot of people think when someone likes BB better they're just trolling or going against the grain on purpose. But I feel the characters were better, the story was better, like you said Bale's Batman voice in this movie was pretty damn good. It might not be as exciting as TDK and is weaker in some areas. I just feel over all it was put together better.

I thought It was just me that didn't like the third one as much as the others. I fell asleep in the theatre when Batman was in wherever he was climbing out.

Maybe for people wo know too damn much about batman:wtb:...I don't know much outside of the movies and the cartoons,so it sounds like horeshyt when sumbody says Batman Begins is better than Dark Knight Rises:childplease:

All of a sudden people wanna see Batman doin detective shyt:heh:?they coulda showed em in the lab for the hell of it but its not neccesary...for the story to go on Batman has to be outsmarted so fuk all that shyt about him being steps ahead of everybody.

And didn't he track down catwoman thru detective work?plus part of the storyline was he didn't give a fuk anymore and was reckless so why would he be focused when he's unmotivated?...I liked the last one much as the one with the Joker actually....the last two movies were a lot more physcoligical I guess you would say then the first one....they really tried to take you into the mindset of the villians more than batman bcuz u already know....but the final one got more back into his mind state bcuz he was a changed man and not the same batman....waaaaaay more physcological than any of the other batmans people claim to love,I wouldn't exact call Batman some detective wiz in any of the movies:heh:...so what's the problem now?

Even if you don't know a lot about Batman, but you at least know movies, I don't see how Dark knight rises is put together better than batman begins, strictly from a script standpoint. Batman Begins doesn't have the plot holes and inconsistent characterization that dark knight rises has

If I could see what was going on I'd place Begins on the level of TDK, but that shaky camera bullshyt hurt the film...

But either way, I'm not sure, only one I've watched repeatedly was TDK :manny:

At this time I'd say DKR

batman begins feels like it doesn't belong in the trilogy
Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises are like the Matrix and Matrix Revolutions to me, which seems like one big ass long movie where nothing happens
Batman begins had the look of gotham down, it felt like a shytty place to be, reminded me how the crow depicted Detroit, which looks more like a gotham than any
other batman movie
Wayne Tower being the central hub of the city with the train running through it was completely forgotten in the two other movies
and Batman looks out of place in a clean modern city like chicago, that's what metropolis is suppose to be
They should've shot the movie in Detrot, because Detroit has the gothic architecture throughout the city, as well is in the same condition gotham is suppose
to be in, also there are mansions in the city limits they could've used as wayne manor that have that gothic feel
Harvey dent's turn happen too fast in the Dark Knight when he was a good guy for most of the film, they should've had him in the hospital for the rest of the movie
and brought him back as a villain in the next film.
Dark Knight Rises terrible pacing, terrible plot, these films will not stand the test of time

I don't remember any major plotholes that would ruin the movie...some people just like to overthink things and ruin the movie for themself....just about every plothole that I remember people bringing up was stuff that you could make a logical explanation for,or just say "he's Batman" and it still makes sense...the ability for fans to be consistent with what's believable and not believable is probaly the problem.

You can't believe Bruce can heal his back that fast by the doctor, but you can believe the prison doctors was able to save Banes life in a damn prison in the ground and he's able to stay alive with some mask contraption that injects pain killers:comeon:the doc is just that good:russ:...if people gon just randomly pick what they can and can't believe its gon be a problem...I don't remember any deal breakers in the movie bruh:manny:

I loved TDKR when it first came out, after watching the Batman trilogy many times over the last few months I have to say that TDKR did not age well at all IMO I agree that they tried to do too much.
