"Battling" or "beefing" Drake is pointless.

Sure, but as I said in the Euphoria thread, he sheds a tear in the bathroom of his private plane. It may matter to him; but I doubt it matters as much to him as it does to fans who care about these kinds of things.

And the number of fans who care about these kinds of things are fewer and fewer.
He never responded to Pusha T’s record and he was unscathed. That’s should’ve been the end.

The only thing that would have ruined Drake is if artists and producers stopped fukking with him. But then they would be fukking up their money. 21 Savage ended up doing an album with him.

He doesn’t even rep Toronto like that. He caters to specific markets and demographics.

Precisely. When Remi Ma dropped She-ther and nothing happened to Nicki, I knew the game changed.

Drake is too connected and a lot of rappers and other miscellaneous people broke and still break bread with him.

The fanbase is like 75% pop, 25% street. The old guard pays attention, but they even underestimate how wack shyt is now.

And this is what I was getting at in the Euphoria thread...

Those rappers will continue to break bread with him. New, up & coming rappers will continue to seek his cosign.

Its as if some view this as a "Hip-hop on A Pole" match on some 2000 WCW shyt :dead:

This aint that. Streets been done :yeshrug:

Oh, I'll take it a step further...

Not only did he come away from the Pusha battle unscathed...

He dropped two #1 singles that same year :dead:

Everybody either forgot, or didn't give enough of a shyt anyway.

For those who still don’t get it. They’re not even competing for the same shyt. Money, fame, popularity. The things that Drake covets the most, Kendrick Lamar don’t even care about.

If anything this “beef” is only helping to extend Drake’s shelf life. He’s a culture vulture.

Kendrick is married with kids. He’s at a different point in this life.

To put things in perspective, Drake has over 400 posts on IG. Kendrick only has one post and that’s from December 2022.

Drake has been baiting him and others and he fell for it. J Cole played himself by doing songs with Drake in the first place. He looking real goofy in the light. Cole represented the opposite of what Drake does and by doing songs with Drake he basically co-signed him. The whole “big 3” nonsense is also a joke.

None of them put out more heat than Nas.

It didn’t help that Meek isn’t a battle rapper. Neither was Drake. So Meek had nothing to gain going after Drake.

Canibus had a buzz, and his LL diss only created a bigger buzz. He simply didn’t pick the right production for his first album.

As for Ja Rule, 50 simply had a classic first album and the music landscape shifted. It also didn’t help that 50 was affiliated with Eminem. 50 represented the new guard.

Meek wasn’t a battle rapper???

Nikka was spitting in those circles on those old dvds with the dirty dreads on back in 05/06.

Diss tracks don't end careers. nikkas need to get over it.

Any man who actually wishes or waits for another man’s career to end is a fakkit anyways.. spending this much energy wishing on a stranger? Find a job that doesn’t pay hourly if you’re that pressed, and in the meantime just enjoy the music.

The only way that Drake goes down is if:

He self sabotages his own career going at his handlers

Or

He ends up in a R. Kelly situation.

I realized this yesterday when I was talking to my friend about it. Drake isn't going to go away just because the industry is realizing how much they don't like him. He's been too successful for too long for that to happen. Future can't stop Drake from making a living. Rick Ross can't stop Drake from making a living. Kendrick can't stop Drake from making a living.

But somebody like Millie Bobby Brown can stop him. Drake's biggest weakness is women. It's probably the reason for half of his feuds. Within the next five to ten years, Drake could end up having his own Quiet on Set moment and that will be what kills him off. Kanye's talking about the elimination of Drake while forgetting that in order for that to happen, Drake has to make himself impossible to work with. Being creepy and inappropriate with women is the easiest way to do that.

Nah ..the fans may not care ..but DRAKE definitely Does ... That shyt affects him because the nygga may not show it, but he suffers from low self esteem. He wanna be down but he Ain't, and that shyt kills him low-key.

No, this is just cope for other rappers not making as much good music as Drake up through Scorpion or so. If Drake is "pop", so is Biggie, Tupac, DMX, Jay-Z, and Eminem. Which makes a "real rapper" vs. pop dichotomy completely dumb.
