Detroit definitely got a solid underground music scene, I don't agree at all that it's comparable to DC that way. Business-wise though their indie scene was never as organized or as big as the one in Houston or the Bay. The big names in Detroit are all affiliated with major labels for the most part except for horrorcore acts like Esham. Groups like Doughboyz Cashout SHOULD be pushing a local indie line because they make local sounding music but they're signed to an out of state indie label (CTE) which is really a shell subsidiary of Atlantic.

I think the scene in Houston is pretty decent too, it's just that the Bay really is its own cotdamn world Even if you left Frisco out of it breh Detroit ain't there. Detroit might be more comparable to a DC hip hop scene. Detroit is mos def RELEVANT as f*ck (J Dilla, Bilal, Em, Royce, Big Sean, etc) , but it's just not as big breh.

nikkas outside of it care about it more than nikkas inside of it... Hence the amount of national artists and producers Detroit has been putting out yearly... Vs a niche scene only relevant within itself and kc

shyt, even a 2v1 opens you up to some punches that would lay a nikka out. if you've been in a decent amount of fights or have some training so you ain't strictly fight or flight when it comes down to it, sure, but most nikkas will end up fukked up if they try to fight two nikkas at once.

all it takes is for the nikka you focusing on to grab your attention with some slight punches for a nikka to throw a hook in your face outside your peripheral. idk, i'll be damned if i willingly take a 2v1 unless i know all they asses is soft and don't know to work one.

but no lie. rappers come in entourages for beef. i would like if it nikkas just settle it with running a fair one and moving on. fight and get that shyt over with. you win or you lose. just move on. when you as "known" as this, street cred ain't gonna take you any further than the shyt that got you here. nikkas just be hyped up and pressured to prove themselves.

ay bruh, all them dudes is from southern virginia (2-3.5 hours away from the DMV). they are in no way from the DMV music scne. the DMV basically stands for the DC metro area, so the commutable region around DC (northern VA, PG, bowie, hyattsville, silverspring, etc and other parts of maryland thats close to DC.)

i'm not saying i'm shooting at being threatened, but ol' boy looked like he was carrying a gun. if i was to fire away (if i had it on me), off the threat of him and his nikka, then I don't think the case would be hard to fight. he would be in the wrong automatically for having it in his hand and using it in an "intimidating way;" since ccl doesn't automatically allow you to pull it out in situations like this. all it takes is a couple words and a wrong or weird/phrase for me to justified if i fired off.

if he shot at them right then, he would probably be facing 2nd degree at least.

tbh, i ain't study none of it long and hard, but i would like to think being faced with a jumping would lead to a justifiable draw of arms considering the difference in injury between a jumping and a 1 v 1.
