Ain't shyt wrong with Southland Mall bruh. Hayward has a very low murder rate compared to Frisco. Don't shyt be going down in Hayward like that. And ain't shyt wrong with San Leandro either. San Leandro is not more dangerous than Berkeley is. As long as you don't walk around looking like a victim and watch yourself and make sure nobody is following you you'll be good. I forgot to tell the OP that Alameda is a great place to eat and shop aswell. Not much shopping besides the shopping center by the beach but Alameda is probably the safest city in the surrounding Oakland areas.
southland is dirty and ghetto as hell.. theres been stabbings and shootings in that mothafukka. the stores all lame, the macy's barely has any legit high end items. i'd say everything between oakland and san jose is garbage in terms of shopping.
only places i'd recommend for good selection of stores/items are union square and westfield in downtown SF, valley fair in san jo/sc, broadway plaza in walnut creek, and stanford mall in palo alto. everything else is garbage. newpark, bayfair, southland, hilltop mall etc all cater to low income shoppers. esp HILLTOP mall which i will avoid like the plague. that mall is depressing as hell.
great mall is trash too.
serramonte, hillsdale, stoneridge, stonestown, valleyfair, westfield SF, broadway plaza in walnut creek, stanford mall >>>>>>
Haven't read any other posts
But San Jose and San Fran are the 2 best places to party..the great thing about san jose is you can walk from bar to bar, you dont have to worry about cabbing it...sf, there are some bar hopping areas however you may have to cab if you wanna hit up multiple places in one night
BART will get you to San Fran, but it closes around midnight, so if you plan on partying late, BART probably wont take you back to Berk.
If you want to go shopping you can visit Union Square in San Fran, Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton is pretty nice, same with Santana Row in San Jose (Rich shops like gucci, louis etc.)..Santana Row has a decent night life too, it's where most of the 49ers live and chill (Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis etc)
If you lookin for outlets, Livermore just built some brand new premium outlets, i haven't peeped but i hear there are over 300 stores..Livermore is about a 40 minute drive from Berkeley..Great Mall in Milpitas has some decent priced stores as well

Some wild and crazy shyt has happened in every mall that has minorities in it. The thing that makes the place bad is if the shyt isn't a rare occurence. Don't act uppity like you're afraid to frequent places that nikkas fukk with. nikkas always quick call shyt ghetto if it has colored patrons.

How are you going to rate the good malls by selection then call a mall which has a bigger selection than all of them trash?
u makin it a thing about minorities, i aint. the fact remains the store selection at southland SUCKS
when macy's has like 3 square feet worth of ralph lauren stuff and its all oldass polos and hoodies, piles of clothes everywhere.. the rocawear selection is bigger than the RL selection.. and i dont even think they carry lacoste or any other regular brands like that, let alone high end sht. the shoe department is the size of a 2 car garage.. the only redeeming quality southland has are the shoe stores (champs, FL, FNL, footaction, sheiks, shoe palace, kids/ladies footlocker).. everything else is garbage. kohls and jcpenney round out the big retail stores
newpark is trash too. macy's there is only marginally better than southland, then you have sears, jcpenney and burlington coat factory as the top 3 stores
stoneridge is a vastly superior mall even tho its layout sucks. but its cleaner, safer, better stores, and better lookin birds.
this part of richmond is "gentrificated" and safe. you can take the 72M from el cerrito del norte bart station and it'll drop you off right in front of the shop. and yeah, those liberal girls are the best. it was the best dating experience of my life so far.
they charge 20.
