Why people assume everybody needs the real message that everybody can't make the league? Most know that already. Its no different from when kids were little and wanted to be cops, doctors, astronauts, etc. Why is this so different and the assumptions like others have said is so stupid.
because they don't know that.

You know what I've given this some more thought and I'm gonna say it...fukk that teacher. He's a hoe ass nikka. You should want Steph at your school he's a poster boy role model. Family man, no illegitimate kids, married, never been close to any kind of trouble or fukkery, has manners, and seems to be raised right. That's the kind of people you want around kids. And for that muafukka to write a damn dissertation saying don't come around my school is god damn idiotic And frankly it's irresponsible. So anyone who didn't crawl their way out of the bottom with only one parent or a broken home isn't worthy enough to talk to your kids. bytch please. fukk this teacher.

I actually played sports in high school. I played with alot of good players too. Kids wasn't on some NFL/NBA or bust shyt by the time they were balling against other good competition. We was trying to get letters from colleges if anything. There was 1 or 2 Super stars who were recognized as all world in the area, and even they was still about where they were gonna go to school at. These are high school kids not elementary school kids. The Letter was disingenuous, condescending, and disrespectful.
What you failed to talk about is how Steph Curry could impact those kids
You see, you playing ball is cool. But what does that gotta do with the topic?
If you balling like you said you was, then steph comes and tells you to "stick wit it"
You think you not gonna remember that? You not gonna be in the gym that day "sticking with it"

You sure about that? The article is what else would steph say. Cuz he could be encouraging someone who has no shot. IN a poorer neighborhood, without the proper guidance. It could lead to misguiding a person
Basically this story is about a Teacher saying "Steph, if you gonna come. Don't come here feeding my kids bullshyt"

And if you really think about it, why the fukk would steph be a good person to visit an inner city school?
Why, cuz he makes 3pters good?
I haven't seen a single poster reply to this. Just skip over it right?
Tell me, what could Steph "Silver Spoon" Curry tell a Oakland youth?

Lets say he didn't shoot 3pters, what could he tell those kids? He can't relate to any of them imo

What about Michael Jordan's kids. They grew up with the ultimate silver spoon and the ultimate bball teacher(Dell Curry at best was never the best shooter in the league and wasn't half as athletic as Steph).

They didn't make it pro. So why disregard Steph Curry when at the end of the day we're all trying to get to a level to hopefully providing a great life for our kids.

F*ck that "teacher"

Oh yeah, like what
Not being heavily recruited in high school because he was "too skinny", carrying Davidson in the NCAA tournament, multiple ankle injuries when he went pro.

The teacher referenced him being 6'3" as one of the reasons he wasn't relatable. :stopitslime: I understand having a father as a pro athlete is an astronomical chance but that doesn't always mean you'll find success in the same field.

This is also bullshyt, because we had our best athletic alumni come back and talk to us about sports, life, and their experiences. None of them spoke to us about how we could make it to the league. It was about working hard, having fun, using our education to create opportunities for ourselves, and being from the hood don't mean you can't have success in life.

He didn't say all that either tho. He said he had all the coaching, all the resources, all the opportunity to grow into the player he is today. That's why he is where he is. His students will not have that, so he doesn't want Steph blowing smoke up those kids asses saying "Yeah, just stick to it" like if that is all he had to do to make it
You know why Stephs ankles are the way they are? Cuz he been shooting jumpers since he was 2 weeks old
People talk about Kobe's body breaking down after all these years, yet people don't realize Steph been doing it like that as well. Maybe when he visits he can tell the kids "Man, when you done shooting 1000's 3's in your backyard, make sure your butler and masseuse are on deck. TRUST ME!!!

This nikka said "Our best athletic alumni came back" :laff:

I hear what you saying, and those are good points about Steph as a role model....but at the end of the day does being polite and doing the responsible thing of NOT having illegitimate kids put these kids in a stable career or on their way to being productive members of society? Not really. The guy in a round about way was basically saying in the Bay these kids only role models are athletes or entertainment. Two industries where it is impossible for the vast majority people to break into. They need actual role models and goals that they can really strive to attain. Steph worked hard, nobody is saying he didn't, but he started way higher up the ladder than most kids in the country to get to a height that none of them will probably ever achieve.

Well tell that to many successful people then. Don't single out Steph. Who the hell does he want their role models to be? Who would he suggest come talk to these kids then? Can't be anybody who had any type of advantage in life. Can't be any leaders of society cause its only a few of them.
Dude wrote a trash blog post with a bunch of generic talking points and unnecessarily centered it around Steph with bullshyt reasoning, plain and simple.
