Maybe?
Only threat she poses is that she is well liked, so she may be able to influence others to follow suit.
Outside of that, it’ll just be a trade, Mariah May for Bayley.
Mariah is the fresher face, so WWE won’t care if Bayley left.
Problem is, there's nothing unique about Mariah May in WWE. She's just another blonde. What makes her better than the current group of women in NXT and the established talent on the main roster?

It might be better for her to stay in AEW.

I saw a Reddit comment that said that a major reason for Bayley losing her momentum was because she got injured. She was gone for about a year or so and during that time, they were performing in front of fans again. Everyone who started gaining success in the Thunderdome (Roman, Jey) were able to capitalize off that and keep their success. By the time she came back, WWE was already putting their resources into other women and she didn't have the same spark as before. Her winning the Rumble, turning face, and feuding with Iyo should have been a bigger deal, but it got drowned out by the Rock situation and as far as the women went, Rhea/Becky was treated as the money match.

Another comment I saw said that beating Bayley doesn't mean anything because she puts everyone over. Charlotte doesn't lose often, so Rhea and Tiffany benefited a lot from beating her. Bianca officially became a top star when she beat Becky at WrestleMania, and Liv bragged about being the last person to beat Becky before she came back. When Bayley loses, nobody elevates from it. I think Roxanne could have benefited a lot from working with her, but the fact that they dropped the feud means they don't even think it's worth doing. They would have never done that to Charlotte, and it's clear that Becky is only there to work with Lyra, so they can't do that to her either.

And IIRC that injury she sustained could have been prevented because they were practicing on Vince's orders.

She should have been more assertive earlier in her career when it came to some of the politics and BS behind the scenes. It's now coming back to kick her in the ass and she is regretting it. Bayley from the outside seems like a nice girl and some of the other wrestlers and management are using it to their advantage. Losing her spot to Becky did mess up her psyche along with the changing of the guard with the women's division. It would probably be better for a change of scenery but she still has a 1.5 left on her current contract so she is just stuck in a role with no upside for her.

White women are usually only blonde or brunette, so that doesn’t really matter.
She is someone that is willing to blade.
Her and Liv could have a hardcore match that’ll make Mick Foley proud.

She ain't starting on the main roster. She'd get lost in the shuffle in NXT. Who is she better than? What sets her apart from the typical blonde in WWE?

They don't bleed like that in WWE anymore either and you don't really see many hardcore matches.

I just looked it up and she literally got injured right before they started letting fans back in. And she was booked for a title match with Bianca at Money in the Bank, which was right after they went back on the road. :mjcry:

Also, she never got over being left off the WrestleMania 37 card and vowed it would never happen again........then it did. It makes me think they gave her the Rumble win and the title last year as a thank you and nothing more.

In the ring, she’s good enough. That’s all that matters.

What sets her apart from the typical blonde in WWE?

The same thing that set Cody apart. A huge buzz and proof they are willing to do whatever to have a good match.

They don't bleed like that in WWE anymore either and you don't really see many hardcore matches.

But it’s not banned.

Don’t know her contract situation but I think a move to AEW could be good for her for a fresh start if she wants it

The reality is she’s been on the main roster in WWE for almost 10 years, she’s objectively had a great career, outside of winning one of the mid card titles what’s really left for her to do in a major way? She’s kind of in that space where she’s the vet with enough credibility to move up and down the card similar to a Sheamus

I do agree that the WM situation was handled poorly. Maybe it leads to a feud down the line between her & Becky at SummerSlam or something but idk. Clearly they’re trying hard to get Lyra over but I can’t bring myself to care about her

Gargano gets screen time?

Miz is there

Braun is there

It’s fukk Becky. Becky basically stole money from Bayley. Debo’d her way into a spot on the card. Crazy work.
No, no, no...Cripple H has to be a man and either put your foot down or dont. When shyt was going good..he got all the credit. Now Bianca and Bayley are suffering..who's fault is it? Not Becky or Rhea..they font control shyt. Becky hit clout, yeah, because had thst huge 2019 and onward trajectory but Cripple H is running the presentation, right? Dont blame Becky. That doesn't work.
