38,828 copies of Bayonetta 2 were sold since release, according to 4gamer. By comparison, the first Bayonetta sold 135,242 copies on PS3 and 64,325 on Xbox 360 in 2009 during its first week. That's an 81 percent decrease in first-week sales between the first entry and its sequel, which is a Wii U exclusive. However, the game was released Saturday, September 20th, and hasn't actually spent a full week in stores.

We already know this will be one of the better games of this year. Maybe even the entire gen. Its inevitable flop sucks though because Sega will throw it in their IP graveyard again and just give us Sonic games.

They put all their faith in Sonic and Aliens, meanwhile the refuse to localize the Yakuza games, PSO2 and they damn near prevented Bayonetta 2 from even happening.

not surprised, it's wii u exclusive...I highly doubt the people that bought a wii u did so for this kinda game....I just wanna know did Nintendo help fund the game?...if they didn't, I can see a port being made for xbox1 and ps4 soon to recoup some of that money....

The game was completely funded by Nintendo.
If this game gets ported, it would be ported to Nintendo's next console.

And if by chance the game does get ported, Sony and Microsoft have to take it up to Sega and Nintendo for it.
