British series often favor slower, tightly plotted, character-driven mysteries with shorter seasons (usually 6–8 episodes). As well BBC is publicly funded, so it can take creative risks and make shows that prioritize depth over ratings.
They make excellent shows

Why this thread isn't bumping on the coli is maddening. The Capture is extremely high quality TV. Very top rated espionage conspiracy TV show in present day.

I still need to finish this show. I started it on Peacock awhile ago and then just bounce around to other things and keep forgetting to go back to it.

Line of duty is also crack coming back next year

Liked the first half of the first season, thought it tailed off and lost a bit of steam in the second half (wasn’t a fan of the scooby doo plan to frame the soldier and then pop-up out of nowhere as “ta-da!” to expose correction)

Second season started really strongly though - liking this much more. Currently on episode 4. Season 2 is straight up piff so far
