lol far from it, why would we be lol who are you for us to think that lol relax.

The yanks ive been around when I have been Vegas, Miami and LA have been cool and if anything always up for good banter.

I still laugh when they are shocked that blacks are in England, or that a high amount percentage of yanks do not own a passport.
Thread title and responses alone reek of insecurity.

I'm not even going to get into my experiences when I visited...

And i'm sure I all draw from experiences to counter your claims, but on the whole like I said why would we be insecure of Americans...who are you for us to be so ??

Anyway its not about that, all countries have good and bad points.

I have family in East London. I've been there 3 times. Great city.

But honestly, this thread has a bad taste to it.

I click on a thread titled "be advised arrogant americans that come to london" and the first post contains a picture of a man beaten and bruised. Sure, there's a story attached to it...but is this supposed to be some sort of threat? Not all of us Americans are arrogant. I hate arrogant people of all nationalities.

So SMH @ the Londoners and Americans in this thread adding fuel to this fire built out of ignorance and xenophobia.

They're not gonna listen to you though. I knew how this thread was going to play out when I saw the title and what bullshyt would be said by ignorant folk on both sides.

I've also got family stateside and have actually LIVED in America at one point and most of us travel back and forth between both countries and don't have any issues. If anything I'd rather boast at the fact that the smartest family in this country is BLACK. I'd rather "flex" about what actually means something instead who owns more guns and knives and who has a higher murder rate like that's something to be proud when we don't even own the land we live on. I'm way too old for that shyt. I'd be happy if we had 0 murders and all crime disappeared. If anyone takes pride in their city being a shythole, that's on them. Like Akala said, the real goons wear ties and suits and can invade your whole area with tanks and take them over if they wanted. So get some political and military power first and then get back to me on how hard you are.

Funny how people only see what they want to see. Majority of the UK posters in this thread have been condemning this nonsense, but you got folks anyway coming in here saying we're all "flexing" while conveniently ignoring people from London who have been speaking against it.

It's a tube line, it even goes to whitechapel or shoreditch station is 5 minutes walk to Liverpool st, it's new.
I know the one you mean, I often get it to Arsenal games... that's overground, it ain't the tube.

But yeah, it's not bad, I had forgotten about it.

Grew up in bethnal, dalston and havkney before the hipster era, dalston amazes me nowadays, there is a boy band on X factor called kingsland road :dead:

In the 80's/90's, they would've been walking home with no trainers on, holly street gang would've been on them

You must be my age to remember Toys R Us in Wood Green, that was years ago. It was huge, just think of all the shops there now that has replaced it and that just used to be 1 shop.

Remember Sports Zone down the road in Palmers Green, that was the spot now its some Polish place. Same as Wood Green full of Polaks etc, in my day was full of blacks was the spot for light skinned beauties.

LOL I used to go to Quasar a lot too back in the day too. I remember one of my distant cousins being moody for the whole day cos he got his ass kicked early into it lol. They need to bring that back quick for this modern age cos it was ahead of it's time. It was like an electronic version of paintballing.

I also remember that Toys R Us place.

Remember that cinema that was on the corner of Turnpike Lane? That must have taken that one down at least 12 years ago.

Wood Green is just unrecognisable now. Even Tottenham has been that way for a while. They've got a coffee place where Body Music used to be. :smh: :snoop: It's sad to see, but all the black businesses are just shutting down left right and centre. Music I can understand, cos no one is buying cds and records anymore, but all the black bookstores have gone.

Yeah Turnpike Lane cinema, was the 1st cinema I went, saw Transformers the Movie 1986.

They have a Quasar in Ponders End near the Tescos.

True Wood Green is so different now, like I said back in School days it was mainly black and a lot of black shops.

LOL remember Mr Byrite lol

I didn't even know they had a Quasar there. I have to remember that.

WG was jokes. I don't know if you remember these two old crazy rastas that used to cause trouble. I remember one of them used to go into shops randomly and harass people for no reason. The other one used to be in the library all the time and although he was intelligent, some of the shyt he used to say was just way off. I remember one time he was having this weird conversation with this Nigerian woman and saying that if she ever visited the caribbean, the hurricanes are so strong that they could blow all her clothes off and she'd have to cover up her p*ssy (I'm not making this up btw)!! :dead: This asian man told him to keep his voice down because he's in a library and the rasta man just cussed him out and basically told him to STFU with his big nose. I swear, the conversation him and this woman was comedy enough, but when he said that to the asian man the whole library started cracking up and I literally laughed all the way home to the point people where looking at me like I was mad!! :dead: :dead: Good times!

Who was Mr Byrite though? That name doesn't ring a bell.
