The strange thing about this how did he get 1.3 million dollars on the account and the bank never flagged it before.

This means that he was likely able to account for the source of his money being through legal avenues.

So if they accepted the money accumulating in the account being legal....how come it was a problem when old dude wanted to withdraw his own funds?

Na he needs to get himself a sharp lawyer and go for their jugular

Bruh,

Even If your a millionaire you still need a liquid account where you have access to cash for some of your money thats not tied up in investments and Business.

You think millionaires don't have bank accounts?:stopitslime:

so black people can't have money now ?? smh

It is against the law to have more than 9999 American dollars on your person at any time.
They wait on people to do that.
To get you on assest forfeiture and not give it back.

they dont keep over a million in one account, especially when it's not even earning 1% in interest.

That's just 100% false. 1.3 million is not even an absurd amount of money. I know a few people with that much or more that just have been selling real estate and flipping properties for a few years and hit a few licks/decent sales.

It isn't against the law, but if you get caught with that much cash the authorities see it as a 'red flag' of illegal activity.

The legal significance of 10k in cash is that anything purchased greater than that amount has to be directly reported to the IRS.

You're losing value due to inflation. Anyone that has 1 million just sitting in a brick and mortar savings account is silly. people you just said are investing with the money, so they need the cash. It's not just sitting there like a regular bank account.

Like I said, it is illegal to have more than 9999, without proper legal documentation.
If you don't know how to obtain the documentation.
It falls under not knowing is your issue with not being familiar with the law.
As, ignorance to the law is no excuse.
I have people right now in trouble for having to much cash at one time on them.
You can go to jail for it, easy.

So what is the cut off for a millionare to have in his account and it not be "silly"?

Mind you, I kinda see your point. But if someone has millions they are gonna want to have an account with some real money they can get too.

Without the huge fees that come with taking out money from investment funds.

I quit that hellhole six months ago. Sadly, I'm not surprised to hear this. You'd be better off putting your money under you mattress. My job was to nickel and dime customers on fees and sign you up for financial "solutions" that aren't in your best interest. They need to help customers with financial literacy, instead they capitalize off of the uniformed (undeserved minorities).

There was a thread highlighting black-owned banks. I've been meaning to look into that. anybody have the link?
