Most people don't know how to start or finish a fight......that's why there's all that posturing and useless feinting in the beginning until somebody gets gassed enough to throw the first punch and it's usually over pretty quick after

Every man should know how to throw a punch, take a punch, shoot a takedown, stuff a takedown and know at least basics in how to fight.

Most people have never even been in a fight and even less actually know HOW to fight.

I've spent a 3rd of my life training wrestling, kickboxing and BJJ and would still avoid a street fight if possible. You never know what could happen.

I used to fight three times a day. Once in the morning, once at lunch, and then again after school. And if I took the late bus home I fought then too.

now if someone said this to you you'd probably be like "yeah right." but a dude told me this back when I was around 14/15 or so at the rec when we'd hoop. he must've been in his 40's, and he wore the george jefferson. he used to always pick me to be on his team.

i believe he was a fightin muthafukka cause he used to fight at the gym all the time. he was forever fighting. he'd fight anyone, but he especially fought white boys. i saw him throw the ball hard as hell and hit a white boy he was arguing with in the leg, then he told him he was gonna break his leg. later that game he took a swing at the white boy, a hard roundhouse right that missed badly, before the other men broke it up. must've been 2 to 3 years i hooped with him, and that man was a threat to fight, and fought often, everytime he hit the court.

Last fight was 20 years ago. The dude fell hit his head on some concrete steps. Cracked skull, blood everywhere, screaming pawgs, I got arrested and charged with battery, parents mortgaged house for my 27k legal defense, 3 year legal battle, avoided a felony. Avoid fights at all cost.

I remember you telling this story

What about though fighters like Justin Gathje or Robbie Lawler?
Tough as nails. More tough than technical.

Then fighters like Stephen Thompson he's way more technical than tough.

Hell when McGregor came up he was extremely technical then he tipped the scale and tried to turn into a bully. By then he was fighting more technical guys that were extremely tough. (Poirier, khabib). At the time McGregor loss to Nate diaz. Nate is an extremely tough fighter, more tough than technical but very technical. Had he not had the toughness he wouldn't have choked out Connor.

Watch McGregor vs poirier 1 then the second fight. You had karate Conor then bully (tough guy) Conor.

The answer right now is no. With my bummy leg, years of smoking and my flabby and sick physique, all I have got is one good right and a takedown before I go down.

Haven't been in a physical fight since my teens.

If I was to get into one now, I could definitely hold my own but I have a heart condition tho so that may work against me :francis:
