I'm very content with this album. :eat:

Yeah, it's not Blueprint, but nothing is. Same said for every other classic album - nothing like each one. Only the test of time will tell how I feel about this album. Good vibes so far. Yes, I have the strong tendency to rank all new material well below the old material. But I think I'll take a look back in 15 years, and (if I'm still into rap), remember all the times surrounding this music. :smugbiden::smugdraper:

I think Blueprint 3 is better.

People talk about the beats being great but aside from a couple of gems this feels like a rushed album and a parody of post 2008 Jay-Z

He's too talented and great for it to be wack but at the same time this doesnt feel like a special album

Based off of one day so far, i'd give it a 5/10 he came correct on half of the album, the other half was sent into the recycle bin, songs like Picasso Baby,fukkwithmeyouknowIgotit,F.U.T.W.,somewhereinAmerica,Heaven,BBC,Jay-Z Blue, and Nickel & Dimes show why he is one of the best to ever do it.

You deleted Versus and Beach Is Better? :whatusay:

Two of his better interludes... and Oceans is hella dope.

With that said, it's 8/10 for me. Minus two songs (La Familia & BBC), the rest of the album rides.

Really consistently good throughout. He wasn't going hard every verse, but still shows he can spaz when he needs to. I enjoyed the variety of content on this album. The B collab was :wow: Accessible as fukk too. (what most people on this site will hate about it) I was playing it around some friends hearing for the first and it's cool to see Jay can still have people's heads bobbing and raising their eyebrows at some of the bars

I'd say it's 9.5. It could go up it could go down.

Vol 2 was clearly jay best album. This is a 5/10 for me.

Kind of like this call on Vol 2. I probably would put Reasonable Doubt over it- and I understand people feeling The Blueprint and TBA as albums more- but as far as pure mic presence, Jay was in a zone on Vol 2. His flow and voice on it had no corniness, it was just dominant.

Album is dope

Hov sounds :flabbynsick: on some of these songs but shines on others, he brought chemistry and charisma, just some classic tracks on here. I'm about to rock this all summer. Day one purchase too probs.

:dj2: :stylin:

4.5 mics :obama:
