In countries where there are obvious majority ethnicities just make those 1 or 2 big languages official.
Alot of these languages come from the same family, anyways.
But it has to be consensual and agreed upon not decided by one or 2 large ethnic groups.

half of India flat out refused to accept Hindi as a national language. Hindi was only permitted to be an official language by the rest of non-Hindi speaking groups so long as English was also kept as a national language. There were so many riots the president was forced to declare English to be a national language along side Hindi or else riots and protests would've continued and Hindi would've never been accepted. Just stop breh. the concept is above your head
