Depending on the context, I can understand why he'd feel some type of way. Just flip the situation around and have a man tell Russell in front of Ciara how much he appreciates him, what it does for masculinity and him being a father. Depending on how it is worded, it can come in like you're overlooking the role Ciara played.

Didn’t seem like he was hating imo. Genuinely asked why it was important to the interviewer why they wanted to see his wife. Gave her praise at the end as her being important to him.

He basically goatee the interviewer into bugging up his wife literally nothing bad happens

At first I thought he could have merely wanted to the interviewer to expound to give more praise to his wife. At first I was leaning towards that and but he did sound pressed and tried to clean it up at the end.

In normal social interactions, asking someone to justify why they like something about someone else can be indicative of jealousy or bitterness over them getting attention over you.
That’s the big social skill issue here.

Like a two chicks going out together and somebody pays a compliment to one chick’s outfit, but not yours. If you get up in that person’s face and ask them “Why you like her outfit? Yeeeah, yeeeaah, yeeeah.” Let’s not pretend that wouldn’t be off-putting.

That lil grunt he made when the reporter said it was great to see another woman because of what it indicated for her as a woman, made me feel like he was about to launch into a speech on why a man can’t get no accolades without women getting attention.

But he could have just been trying to intensely get more screen time for his wife and came off awkward.


Keep in mind, I know nothing about who these people even are so I have no context for this relationship. But he definitely seemed like he had something against the interviewer when she mentioned his wife.

Has he had negative interactions with reporters before? Or his wife?

Anyhoo, who are these folks? I’ll watch it again but on first watch, it’s weird.
