Relatable voices? Just a rap version of having a voice that conveys and communicates something to you beyond the song itself. Its what makes you buy into the persons story and moves you. Like the story beans sells about himself, his voice alone confirms it. It goes beyond being technically sound. But its s personal choice. By evey measure biggie had a distinctive voice. But to me it don't really move me. Pause. It don't really have a personality of its own.

Smh. Nikkaz acting like voice is unimportant now. Best way to describe it is I'd say it conveys some slice of humanity, vs just being a dope rapper.

I agree in a authentic voice that matches the persona, but im not sure how you can say Biggie voice dont do that?he sound every bit as ruthless as he needs to sound on the raw shyt, and every bit as smooth as he needs to sound when he giving you the player/don image:patrice:...Beans is definitley more well rounded but his catalogue is more well rounded....beans more well rounded than Jay and nas too,im just not sure why this is what tipped the scale to put Beans over Biggie....when voice ways Biggie has strengths that outweigh Beans voice imo....its other areas where Beans is clearly better, but im not seeing that in the voice category.

Your personal preference. Beanie is a beast no doubt, but the "problem" with rappers like him is that they can spit hard but can't make a cohesive or classic album. Beanie could never make an album like RTF and LAD.

I guess I hear more desperation and hunger in beans voice despite the tough talk, that makes him more than just a ruthless tough guy. He's a hurt ruthless tough guy. A ruthless tough guy in and of itself is kinda one dimensional, which is what bigs tough talk comes across to me. Beans to me is the epitome of " tough talk to mask fear or vulnerability". Where as big just sound like a ruthless dude. Beans is heartfelt music to Me which trumps all other categories that any rapper could be good at.

Beans is my guy, but nah.

Big was a legit rap phenomenon.

I can take a trip across the eastern region and find you 1,000 Beans right now. He's like the typical dope nicca off the block. That's part of his whole appeal.

Big was a rare talent.

Biggie was a better artist, paint pictures with words like very few can. Beans been through way more pain and it shows in his music. Bar for bar its damn near neck n neck. Two monsters, beans learned a lot from big. Big paved his own lane, there is not one else.

Beans paint pictures like very few can now:comeon:?yall just talking the usual talking points now,he aint better than Beans and its alot of nikkas who paint a picture better....all yal really got is Biggies ability to exist commercially in the pop/mainstream world...Beans cant exist in that realm.

I would argue "The Becoming" is classic. Just half the album had been out 18 months before it actually dropped.
