Beyonce never testified on behalf of Beans. None of them did. She was only making an appearance at court. And she only came once. Dame, Beyonce, Kanye, Jay they were all just there....and only Dame came every day.

But let's be honest, labels were backing their artists for trouble they got into then. They were paying the high profile lawyers AND getting their artists deals - community service, rehab etc. Hell, DJ helped when Jay got the stabbing, and most of the Inc situations, kept getting DMX rehab. They were doing what they had to keep their artists from doing time...at least their "flagship" ones. Lyor, Kevin Lyiles & Rush used to do ish for theirs, as long as they weren't federal. Even if just acting for character witnesses. Loud was backing Wu on most of the ish they were gettin into.

If Jay wasn't gonna vouch for him, there's zero reason for him to be there. Shyne him instead. And with that, they must not have valued Beans as an asset as much as they were saying he was. And they were using Chain Gang as muscle, as well.
