I didn't forget about those games. The Detroit game was a bad game, though. People seem to forget how poorly he played in that.
Consistency is key. I can pick out good games from the QB's who get completely ragged on here. Hell, I can point to solid games Kolb played last year...that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't good.
He was efficient last year, but to brag about his play? Give me a break.
If Alex can play this way for the rest of the season then that's worth bragging about IMO.
He's OK and will be until he consistently plays like a good QB.

Anyways, I don't dislike him personally, I just have disliked his play over the years. And of course I back him. He's not the only player I dislike on the 9ers...but I'll always root for them on game day.
I'm not a homer though and will never be. I'll always be objective...and really, the only people that think Alex is a good QB are 9er fans. Once dude consistently starts balling, then he will get his due. It happens with damn near every QB. Were yall around when Cassel and Garrard were putting up similar to better numbers?

I just think more highly of him than you do, but like I always say, I understand why you or anyone doesnt like him, as a player. I just think he's grown into a good qb now. Oh and yeah I agree with you about the det game. He was bad up until the last couple of drives.
I think he has gotten better, for sure. Looking at his numbers, they're pretty good...but it takes more than that for me to call a QB "good". I need to see more from him.
