Biggest need is OL and this draft is stacked with some of the best OL talent a single draft has ever seen.

At first they said Pickett was traded because of his response to the Russ trade and that they didn't want Russ to feel like he was competing for the starting job so he could be confident. Now this.

Now both QBs are going to be watched like hawks from day 1 in training camp and breathe on each other's necks, with still very little talent to work with offensively.

Fields fukked up his own financial future by being a bottom 3rd QB for 3 years. Every team with some sort of opening (I'll exclude Minnesota since that trade wasn't realistic) went in another direction. Extending Fields and flipping that #1 pick for a kings ransom in back to back years is literally the type of scenario that sets up a 5+ year stretch of high level football, double digit wins and repeated playoff appearances. The fact that they're pivoting is a testament to how disappointing his 2023 was, same exact guy who holds onto the ball forever and takes back breaking sacks because he can't process quick enough.

He'll have his chance at the Geno, Baker, etc - arc of competing for a job and turning that into more in 2025, might even come earlier than that if Russ gets hurt and/or struggles, but Justin is what he is right now.

I have seen Fields literally hold the ball for 5-10 seconds, then run directly into a sack. At least 10 times. Like you probably the fastest nikka on the field just take off
