Are posters saying Fields is currently & projected to be the better QB?

I honestly don't know what point they have been trying to make. Justin was never the biggest issue with that team, and the steelers are an actually well run org. this shouldn't be too surprising. Youre proving Flus/OC is garbage bigging up JF more than anything which I agree with.

Could Justin sit back and throw 50 times and be effective. no that is not his game. could Williams make the spectacular athletic plays jf does. no, not his game. Bears decided they would rather go in the direction of Calebs game than JF. its really not that complicated. you also need more time than 3 weeks to ascertain which decision was better.

Like I said I'm just gonna start replying with grace cuz I still fw JF1 and don't want to badmouth him at all.

Yes and no.

Part of the reason they are only allowing 8ppg is because we are limiting turnovers and dominating the TOP.

The defense has been elite for probably two years now, but the problem was either i.) Trubiski throwing INT's or, ii.) Pickett going three-and-out for the entire game and gassing out our defense.

Would you bet $$ that either of the QB's you named would be able to take care of the ball? Cause I would not.
It's really this simple. Chicago's defense has been lights out outside of some big plays here and there. If they weren't turning the ball over 5 times in the last 2 games, they are at least 2-1

The Bears FO is definitely regretting the decision because even if they believe Caleb is the QB of the future still, they won’t be there to see it cause he’s not gonna be able to win enough games this year to justify them keeping their jobs.

Im happy for Justin, I dont know why people are acting like Bears fans didnt acknowledge he was put into a bad situation here. We were his biggest cheerleaders, so this isnt some "gotcha" moment. He had a lame duck coach / GM year one and then had to lead a roster being torn down and rebuilt.

I think Caleb is gonna be great in Chicago, Im feeling good about what he put out in his 3rd start, esp with no running game and a shaky OL (and bad playcalling). If Justin can take some steps as a passer, PITT is gonna be really happy to have him. Hes also a good person whos respected by his teammates.

Ryan Poles is not on the hot seat whatsoever this season, his job is safe. Flus is a different story

If the bears win 5 games or less do you think he’s still safe? Eberflus is gone after this year if they don’t improve from last year imo.

No he is not. Your statement is exactly what Tennessee fans said about Malik Willis. They were wrong then and you are wrong now. Young plays for a shytty organization, but if he played for Miami he would look no different than Tua.
Bryce Young wouldn't even make it to the end of the season playing behind the Dolphins offensive line.

He's not a particularly good QB, he's just in a really good situation. The last couple years have been great examples that QBs can be in the wrong situation, good somewhere else and do well. Sam Darnold is suddenly balling in Minnesota. Malik Willis went to GB and playing well. Were they bums in the past, are they good in the present, or are they simply in much better situations now. I think it's a bit of each but the biggest factor is better situations. Fields has a good o-line now. He didn't have that in Chicago. He also has a good defense. Chicago's defense was pretty meh until his final season there. So he has a clear pocket, multiple weapons, and his defense isn't putting him in terrible situations.

Ryan Poles is 100% safe, yes
Ok, I’ll differ to you :hubie:. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s outta there with Flus if the season goes downhill tho. Personally, I feel like he tied his faith with Eberflus when he didn’t fire him last year tho. If this coaching staff is canned and Caleb has to learn a new system next year, it’s on Poles imo.

People don’t understand complementary football. Honestly why coaches like Tomlin and Harbaugh always succeed

yeah it would be on poles but as long as he does everything in his power to build the OLine this offseason hes fine.

His biggest miss so far is def retaining flus though, it made little sense at the time. he could finish the season 9-8 or some shyt I'll still say he should be canned.

Too early for victory laps but I’m happy Justin is showing he’s not the bum people tried to paint him has. Was in one of the worst situations in the nfl and did all he could out of the mess he was placed in. Finally got a good franchise and real leadership around him. That’s all he needed. As long as he works hard, the talent will rise to the top. Can’t wait to see how this looks when he’s real comfortable in the system and Arthur starts really scheming up runs for him
