Thats not how most of his rebounds come. He leaves his defender to go rebound hunting. Literally cost his team a win cuz he didn't wanna guard Gary harris when he was stuck on 9 rebounds. But I'm a hater and Westbrook doesn't play for stats right?

He's doing it on damn game-winners! :dead:

And this was Westbrook pulling the same thing in clutch time in the playoffs last year...letting Patrick Beverly go off for 22 and hitting huge threes because getting triple-doubles more important that playoff wins:

Two minutes left in a 2-point game and he's standing under the basket hoping for a rebound not even looking at his man twenty feet away.

Jeremi Grant was actually covering his own man 15 feet away and he still gets to Westbrook's man before Westbrook does.

And ya'all wonder why the "accomplishment" has lost all value. :scust:

He actually was worrying about the lob because grant got ran over with no call. But yeah he was worrying about a rebound with no shot up .

He's a grown man, doesn't need you to lie for him. Did he somehow predict Grant getting ran over before it even happened? :mjlol:

Or was he just so scared about double-teaming Chandler (4 points all game) that he thought it was a good idea to leave Harris (25 points and 5 threes) wide open and not even face him? :jbhmm:

And what was he worrying about in the playoffs in the same situation? :francis:

Or is this the new, "Stand under the basket with your hands on your knees while your man hits yet another open three" defense?

And apparently he often spends entire games worried about lobs? :usure:

Either Westbrook took y’all bytch or y’all Colin cowherd cause y’all nikkas just haters:stopitslime:
He's doing things that hurt his team solely to pad his stats, and getting accolades for it. A lot of guys who coach or are otherwise invested in the game hate seeing that shyt.

:sas1:His record improves when he “stat pads “ though....
No it doesn't. :mjlol:

He stat pads every damn game. He's just not successful at it every game.

He's always trying to stat-pad rebounds. But if the other team makes their shots and is winning, there might not be enough rebounds for him to get to 10.

He's always trying to stat-pad assists (at least, if he hasn't hit 10 yet). But if his teammates are missing their shots and they're losing, there might not be enough assists to get to 10.

THAT'S why he doesn't make it to 10 and 10 in losses. It's way harder to get there.

Ya'all been looking at cause-and-effect from the wrong direction. You think Westbrook actually stops stat-padding some games, and they lose those games? If that were true, then why wouldn't he be stat-padding every damn game in your mind? They'd win 65 games if he did that, right?:jbhmm:

If you're stat-padding, it's a lot easier to reach 10 rebounds when the other team plays bad. It's a lot easier to reach 10 assists when your teammates play well. So reaching 10 rebounds and 10 assists says a lot more about the other team playing bad and your teammates playing well than it says about "the benefits of stat-padding".
