Glad to see them getting love on this forum...

Their beats are some the best produced works in hip hop.... Wish more rappers would've done collabs with them. It was dope to see Nas do that song with them.

Would have also been dope to hear Jay z use some of their producers of them for a couple songs..... I mean "99 Problems" was amazing..

Beasties are dope, they have a pretty perfect discography, tbh.

edit: this made me gain a lot of respect for Ad-Rock 3:00, regardless if its hypocritical coming from him, still gained respect from me.

one of my favorite beastie songs

i remember the first time I saw the video for Intergalactic on VH1 i was like 9 and shyt BLEW my mind. i thought it was the coolest thing ever

beasties always had cool videos, too.

One of the best groups from a very important era of hip hop. Had some classic material.

Let me ask ya'll this question...

Do you think their style of music (production) could be popular today? No boom-bap, no trap, etc....

I think it already is!

"Slow And Low" could be anybodies beat today and be a hit....same with "Hold It Now"...
and if you slow down or speed up "Brass Monkey" a little bit, same thing...

yeah Imma License to Ill lover...

now I wanna hear She's Craftyyyyyyyyy...lol

same, this thread got me listening to Licensed To Ill, its been awhile since Ive listened to some Beastie Boys.

like 5 or so years ago I used to play SO much Beastie Boys my ex ended up hating them :mjlol:

Beasties are respected a lot by the white hip hop heads, like a lot of them drugged out stoner types. (the kind that look like them in the So What Cha Want video) a good friend of mine, Dave who actually got me into Mac Dre and Kool Keith used to always be listening to Beastie Boys when wed hang out. they were our go to smoking bongs music lol

This cut was my favourite thing about the beasties, there ability to flip dope and obscure samples..

They used alot of cool funk tracks from the 60s and 70s,moog,Jimmy Smith off the top...

and the new style obviously was a classic track coming up in that era...

fav song by them and a dope video concept...
