If the ball hadnt been intercepted Lynch would have scored on the very next play. All wilson had to do was not throw an interception and they wouldve had 2 plays in a row to run it from the 1 yard line

Not entirely he said the other reason they passed it there was so that they could call the TO if they failed to run it in for a score on third down

Meaning that if he ran on 2nd down and had to call a timeout (they are now out of timeouts). Then he runs on 3rd and possibly doesnt get in, there is no time to plan on the 4th down play. It may not be the best decision in hind sight, but thats what his thinking was.

The odds of Russ throwing an INT are so low there. It was a 95% chance that they wouldve had 2 more chances to run but it just didnt happen
