I would stick with Reason 12 and learn it inside and out. If you prefer producers that sample I'd suggest Serato Sample it makes sampling and chopping easy. Just drop wav or mp3 and go.. either way just keep at it.
I used to play drums when I was younger but unfortunately I just don't have a place to play drums in my one bedroom apartment. I want this set tho
This is only $250

you can find the MPC Live first version for sale often and even the second used. like OP a lot of people hop on to beat making wave and quit when they realize that they don't have the drive.I’ve really been considering the MPC Live but that 1299 price tag got me like
But I really want a DAW that I don’t need to use my laptop for. Just straight old school. I have the Maschine MK3 and honestly, I hate Native Instruments Programs. It’s strictly Techno shyt to me, I don’t like the DAW even though the tech is amazing. The workflow isn’t there for me.
I know you can use it as a plugin in FL and stuff but I still can’t rock with it and it’s overly complex.
I heard you can use the MK3 without a laptop though so ill look into it
Ok I’m gonna spend the day making beats. If I come up with nothing, no p*ssy for me tonightRozay is obsessed with being a student of the game. He think he supposed to be studying the greats. He like the idea of being a producer more than the literal act of making music. I believe he lacks the passion to get over the frustrating hurdles that come with learning how to make beats. Most people who invest in equipment end up letting that shyt collect dust. They get too frustrated with not getting good quick enough.
Yeah thats what i meant.you can find the MPC Live first version for sale often and even the second used. like OP a lot of people hop on to beat making wave and quit when they realize that they don't have the drive.
I don't think the MPK 3 has sampling just built in basic minimal sounds for beginners. that won't cut it short or long term. if you want stand alone you have to go mpc live... I think you meant you wanted standalone hardware. DAW's are all computer based.

I just got it a couple weeks ago and haven’t tucked in at all with kids getting ready to go back to school, but I’m happy to provide an update when i can. I have historically fukked with Nuendo, a little FL, some Ableton, and a touch of PT.How you like it? I was tempted to cop one recently. I just find the daw so convenient.
