Becky Hammon has been with the Spurs in an assistant capacity since 2014. She worked her way up all the way up 2nd in command behind pop. Tim Duncan started coaching last year and Already got the nod to take over for pop, when he got ejected in a Hornets game this year.

This begs the question who will get the job? If pop were to leave, someone that worked there way up the ladder, or a legend who just began to coach not all that long ago.

I definitely feel like Hammon be a head coach for some teams in the league right now, but she just needs an opportunity.

Becky Hammond was a great player herself, but I fear that she won't get the opportunity at least in San Antonio .

who knows. Becky might be the HC with Timmy as her lead assistant. Could easily see that :yeshrug:

I know Tim is a Hall of fame bound player, but to sit on the bench one year and just jump right over Becky Hammon, had me thinking, Wow, Becky has been there since 2014 and she didn't get the opportunity, she even coached the Summer league team to a few titles. If that doesn't catapult her to head coaching opportunities then what will?

I hope so, she seems to be a highly capable coach. It's not like Luke coaching the warriors lol

Different skills in the front office, but I don't see why not. Although they just gave the job to Brian Wright, so I don't know how that will turn out.
