@Wiseborn how did my father fail me? Please give me your honest opinion on him. Sometimes I feel I'm too hard on him.

If you don't go to school can you still become a preacher/televangelist? How do you accomplish that?

I am broke and want to be a preacher.
Study motivational speakers, the Bible, & take a public speaking course (communications). Or you can do like I wanna do & be a preacher in Nigeria. They'll believe anything you say & will let you do anything if you put "in the name of the Lord" after it.

Did you have to go to college/divinity school to become one? Sorry for the bad experiences you had while being a preacher.
No. White churches and institutions will sometimes require you to have a formal education from a seminary or theological school. But in my experiences, black people do not operate that way. In the black church, your calling to preach does not come from having a formal education. It supposedly comes from God. In the bible, the Christian God often took and used the poor, uneducated and lowly people of society to carry out his works. This resonates in the black church and they follow suit. Therefore, I would say a formal theological education isn't required but it is appreciated and valued if you have one.

Did you ever end up pursuing the armed forces?
Have to wait until I'm off my blood pressure medication. My doctor still hasn't taken me off of them. I weigh 210 pounds, used to be 270 pounds. Once I get down to 186 pounds I'm good to go for the air force. Just need my doctor to take me off blood pressure medication.

He would've done the same thing that should've happened when you got beat up by a bully Forced you to go out there and fight him.

Same thing with a girl you would've told him about your third grade crush and he would've demanded that you talk to the girl.

By the time you got to high school you would've had a couple of Girlfriends.

That's the one thing momma raised chronic masterbating incels think that there's some girl that's The One that all you have to do is convince her that you're good enough and that you love her enough for her to choose you and not that bum who will end up dumping her.

Ask yourself this Did you ever like only The One or were their several Ones that you liked?

Did you end up liking one girl over the orginal "The One"?

That's how it is with women they really don't know who they like the best way to handle it is to Not Like her bytches generally seem to like people who kinda don't like them.

It's more complicated than that but that's a general 30,000 level view.

Congrats on the weight loss. Keep up the good work

It was a joke!
My (former) best friend is a "youth pastor", iirc, he's preaching with Bethel or Hillsong, one of those "charismatic" denominations these days, but I'd go to a sermon now and then when he was at a smaller, local church, and they were nothing but empty, positive bullshyt with bible verses sprinkled on.

The audience was mostly female, again, young with some elderly people who wanted something to do on a friday night, if that helps.

At the back of my head, one went like:

"We're in such a rush these days, we forget the Bible, we forget the Bible was given to the world, before technology, God wants us to move slowly and remember him. It's OK to take a Sabbath, before the Sabbath"

If you can be Tony Robbins with a bible, you'd be straight in any pentecostal/charismatic sect

What made you get into being a preacher?

Also what made you quit?

Sorry I'm just legit curious
I know it's cliche but it really is a long story. I was a minister of music first then I transitioned into preaching. Nothing "made" me want to preach. I felt I was anointed by god to do so and once I talked to the elders and mothers about it, they agreed that I had an anointing to preach the gospel.

Quitting it all was a long process. But I had disagreements with scriptural interpretations regarding our doctrine. The more I learned how to read the Bible, the more problems I found with our doctrine. This led me into researching the historicity of biblical text. I found myself going down the rabbit hole through the books of Bart D Erhman, Richard Carrier, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris and other biblical critics. This led me away from religion all together.

Not a recent discovery. Being doing it for years.
I get it but I don't get it. a Completely not from Harlem thread. If a nikka has fuzzy balls and a bytch says I ain't giving you head unless you take care of that. You think a nikka wouldn't scrape off his whole epidermis?

If you got an Afro where the sun don't shine nobody has to know that. Did you tell your boys that? I'm not gonna clown you anymore but my nikka....
