That story in the Auto Biography predates the New Testament and is almost the exact same as the crucifixtion story found in the Bible by the same exact man who many scholars believe to give the earliest account of Jesus and the crucifixion so it’s not far fetched to reach the conclusion he made the whole thing up based of a life event he really saw as far as them persecuting them there’s I’m still looking into that it would make no sense for them to go through the trouble just to persecute them later but the Romans didn’t necessarily have to be in on it could’ve Josephus could have just spread the story himself if he did make it upWhy would a story of crucifixion shake your faith? That was a way that Romans killed people back then, so that should in fact validate your faith due to the accuracy.
Why would the Romans create the new testament to force the Hebrews to believe when they didn't even believe in Christianity, but in fact persecuted Christians initially?
First of Happy Holidays Coli Fam! Sending Blessings out your way for a Merry Christmas
Last year around this time I made a thread asking what inspired the Christians of the coli to follow the faith I myself around the time was trying to be more involved in the church and following the teachings of the Bible to the 100% but it felt kind of forced to me like I was lying to myself so then I started looking into the actual history surrounding the Bible to strengthen my faith after watching this sermon
Basically stating the Bible has been translated in different languages for 1000’s of years with little difference from those early text to now dating traceable historical events so after that I started looking into the history of it and brehs...
It ain’t adding up
Forget about the things you can say the Bible plagiarized like the Book of Gilgamesh and the similarities to Greek mythology Sampson/ Hercules, Pandora’s Box/ Garden of Eden. What really throwed me was the fact there is no concerte evidence of Jews ever being in Egypt during the time of Ramases the 2nd not a single mention of them before during and any mention of them came much later during the time of Greek occupation which harms a lot of the validity of the Old Testament then coming to the New Testament we get the story of Jesus recanted by the stories of the apostles and outside of biblical sources confirmed mainly by this guy
Titus Flavius Josephus a Jewish-Roman historian

Who is considered to have had the one of the earliest historical accounts of jesus
Josephus on Jesus - Wikipedia
The only problem with that is in his autobiography of his military campaigns which actually predates the New Testament he tells a story eerily similar to the story of Jesus’ cruxifiction

Which sounds a lot like Jesus being cruified with the two men and then him rising again even the names sound similar how Joseph of Arimethea in the Bible was the man who oversaw the burial of Jesus went to Pilate Joseph of Arimathea - Wikipedia
And then you have Josephus who was also known as Josephus Bar Matthias due to his father
Matthias (father of Josephus) - Wikipedia going to Titus
Breh I was depressed finding this stuff out been going through a lot for the past few years that I’ve prayed on and I even sometimes sleep with The Bible right next to me to get through the hard times but now my faith is hanging on by a thread brehs the Romans really might of just sent Josephus to finesse the Hebrews into following the New Testament which could just be Roman religion in code idk man there have been times where I felt the spirit calm my soul and keep me strong but like I really don’t know what to do anymore church not reaching me after finding all this stuff out I might go today but I really don’t know

Breh I know Romans cruxified people that’s not the issue here or what I’m trying to prove explain me how a man who is credited as having one of if not the earliest account of Jesus’ cruxificiction has the almost same exact story in his autobiography just with eerily similar names of the people involved and none of the miracle involved I know there were a lot of cruxifctions back then but the similarities between this and jesus’ are way too similar to be coincidence imoEarly Christians were persecuted, especially in Rome, so there would be zero reason for Romans to make up something and then persecute the people who followed this ideology they made up. Hanging people from the cross was one of the ways Romans killed people back then, just like the electric chair or lethal injection is the way we kill people now. Jesus wasn't the only one hung from the cross as evidenced by the two others hanging with him and this story you've read where others were hung from the cross. All this story does is confirm that that was actually a legitimate way of Romans killing people during those times, furthering the accuracy of the Bible.
Have that same energy when you in a plane about to crash.

Praying to God and Praying to Jesus are two different thingsThen don’t question in your faith in something you will be turning to when the end is near.
