If the packers were smart theyd go all out like the saints are and get what you need by any means necessary to get a ship while you still have a QB
Screw the longterm. Hard to plan for the NFL longterm anyway. Go overspend and flip picks and do whatever you got to do to be in contention for the next year
You making it sound way too easy.

At the end of the day, our turnaround will be attributed to one of the greatest draft classes of all time. Teams just can't go out and say "Ok, all we have to do is have a GOAT draft like the Saints did."

Rodgers has made some GARBAGE throws the last two weeks. It's amazing how teflon he is from criticism from fans and media.

You have to remember, he has only 1 NFL WR on the field.

Jimmy Graham fell off.

And Aaron Jones is the only other weapon and MM doesn’t use him enough. 12 has missed him on numerous check downs too.

But the talent level on the Packers has diminished

Rodgers is in my top 10 all time and obv the team should choose him over McCarthy and give Rodgers whatever he wants.

But the excuses and lack of criticism for Rodgers has been mind boggling to me. Even if he's playing uninspired because he's tired of McCarthy, you'd never see a Brees, Brady, or Manning play :manny:. (Not that I think Rodgers is, but his lack of passion and emotion is a bit apparent this year)

As for talent. Well, here's something Saints fans learned a hard way: when you have to pay your GOAT QB what he deserves, you gotta be lucky when it comes to FA and the draft. We were able to surround Drew with talent because we pulled off elite draft picks and got a top 5 WR, RB, and OT. And we also drafted a top corner. Nailing on those picks allows us to have top players at their position on rookie contracts while Brees eats the salary cap (like he and Rodgers deserve too). So because Rodgers (rightfully) wanted his $, he can't get too mad at what the Packers surround him with. Teams can only pay so much for top talent. He better pray like heck the Packers can pull off some top drafts.

The issue is, even before AAron got big money with his 2013 extension and now his 2018 extension, the Packers had average to terrible drafts. They’ve hit on a few yes but they haven’t drafted all pros aand the roster doesn’t have a lot of speed on it

Ted Thompson lost his touch after the Super Bowl

I fully agree with you on that. Y'all lack of aggressiveness in FA and average drafts pre Rodgers breaking the bank is having a carryover effect to now.

Rodgers needs an offense full of dynamic athletes who can stretch the field since he can make up a lot of other deficiencies, instead he gets a bunch of lumbering big bodied guys or mid-level NFL athletes who have "good fundies" and shyt like that. Adams is their only real deep ball threat and he's not consistent enough. This team isn't built for Rodgers strengths at all.
