You can argue the Vikings though
Their bad/heartbreaking playoff losses are probably the worst of any team. Every decade going back to the 1970’s they have at least one playoff exit (week 17 2003 counts too since the stakes were win and you play next week but if you lose the season is over) that’s up there with if not worse than game 6 of the 2011 World Series type losses. There’s the 4 Super Bowl losses in the 70’s, the drop that lost the nfc title game in 87, the 1998 nfc title game, the 2000 nfc title game, week 17 2003, the 2009 nfc title game, the 2015 wild card loss to Seattle where Blair Walsh missed a 27 yarder at home at the buzzer, and the 2017 nfc title game with a Super Bowl in their own building at stake.

I think jets fan has it the worst of all.

2 division titles since 1970.
Passing on Marino but taking a qb in 1983
The collapse of 1986 going from 10-1 to 10-6 and one and done in the playoffs while the giants won it all
The fake spike & the 4-28 tailspin it sent them into
The 6 second half turnovers after taking a 10-0 lead into halftime of the 1998 afc title game
Testsverde tearing his Achilles tendon on opening day 1999 when the afc was wide open for them
Turning it over 6 times and giving up 2 kick return touchdowns in week 17 in 2000 vs the ravens to lose by 14 and miss the playoffs by 1 game
Injuring Drew Bledsoe and giving Brady his chance to start in 2001
Drunk Joe Namath hitting on Susie Kolber on a Monday night broadcast during a 6-10 season in 2003
Doug Brien missing 2 fourth quarter field goals to lose the divisional round matchup vs Pittsburgh in 2004
Chad Pennington tearing his rotator cuff and Curtis Martin suffering what turned out to be a career ending knee injury the following year in 2005
Mangini making Pennington the scapegoat for his 2007 defense blowing leads nonstop (the giants beat the pats in the Super Bowl too)
The 8-3 start with Favre in 2008 with the defense playing lights out & Favre nearly leading the league in touchdown passes only for Favre to tear his bicep tendon on his throwing arm and they get eliminated by Chad Pennington and the dolphins in the meadowlands in week 17
Falling one third down stop away from a chance to win the afc title game vs Pittsburgh in 2010 after storming back from a 24-0 deficit by out scoring them 19-0 in the second half
The collapse over the final 3 games after the 8-5 start in 2011 that cost them a playoff spot. The middle loss is the Christmas Eve loss to the giants which the giants needed to make the playoffs. They’d go on to beat the pats in the Super Bowl
The butt fumble in 2012
GM John Idzik catastrophically whiffing in 2013 and 2014 (go watch the SB nation 2010’s jets collapse episode for more details) and the team setting Geno Smith up for failure
Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing 3 fourth quarter picks at home in week 17 vs Buffalo all beyond mid field to miss the playoffs by one game at 11-5 in 2015
Just awful and drafting terrible quarterbacks all around from 2016-22
Aaron Rodgers tearing his Achilles tendon 1 pass and 4 plays into 2023 and leaving them with Zack Wilson all over again while their losing streak vs New England stretched to 15 straight losses before breaking it in week 18

I’m not sure any fanbase in any of the big 4 sports has had it as bad as jets fan has for the past 55 years.
Nobody has had it worse than the Lions. NOBODY.

Every team in the NFL had more playoffs wins in the last 60 years than the Lions before this season. ALL OF THEM.

The Texans didn't EXIST 25 years ago and they won more playoff games in the Super Bowl era.

Yeah but at least there haven’t been too many titles between Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota. In fact the Vikings at least haven’t been to a Super Bowl since 1976, the bears have been to just 2 total and none in the past 17 years, and the packers managed to only get 3 Super Bowl trips out of 30 years of Favre and Rodgers. Miami has 2 titles in that span including a perfect season and went to 3 more. Buffalo at least went to 4 super bowls, and New England went to 11 super bowls in that span and 9 of them can be laid directly at the feet of the jets for injuring Drew Bledsoe. This also happened just 2 years after belichick basically pulled a Bobby petrino on the jets and left for the pats. The jets essentially have 3-4 seasons that aren’t or can be looked at as total failures to accomplish anything in the past 54 years (1998, 2002, 2009, 2010) and in at least 2 of those years, they had it and let the season slip right through their fingers in a manner that leaves their fans feeling nothing but bitterness and regret over how it ended.

Still, I can’t really discredit any point you made about how bad it’s been for lions fans either :francis:

Champions league
Idk man
We got Superbowls
Them nikkas went to 4 and lost all of em
Not just 4
But
4 fukking straight
And today they lost in the same fashion well almost close with that wide right kick :dead:

4 straight superbowls
wide right
music city miracle
long ass playoff drought of like 18 years
mahomes 13 seconds
wide right again

bills could be up 21-0 with 2 minutes left in the superbowl and they'd still find a way to lose
