also besides cosigning everyone in this thread...its an absolute pain when someone especially your mother is the complete opposite and a textbook extrovert acting like something is wrong with u...

had my dense ass mama tell me one time "your gonna grow up to be one of those introverts" when she was pissed at me

their is so much wrong with that statement that I don't even wanna......wow

it is embarrassing sometimes looking at this woman literally more than half my age being dense as hell in every aspect of life and I have her genes



btw.......Obama is definitely an introvert...his methodical speeches....even when he wasn't years ago when he was giving the "a more perfect union" type of speeches...

because the dumbass country we live in......if you made this general statement they would all laugh but its true....

its easy as hell to tell who are introverts....and Obama is textbook....but because of how dumb we are...we really gonna have folks say its impossible because he smiles a lot and gets hyped up in speeches

yeah that Michael Jackson sure was shy on stage

I'm introverted but I'm good at giving speeches too. I feel like when I'm forced to be social I do well, but I'd rather keep to myself.

i'm an introvert and SHY as fukk.....but fortunately life has put me in some extreme situations in which I WAS FORCED to get out of my shell....thus i needed to adapt, so now i'm a bit better at faking the extrovert sshyt at work or in the day to day situations

growing poor amongst rich fukkers adds a lot to the introvertness of stuff, feeling your not on the same level as them

i have a roommate, he can't fukking sit still... he is an extrovert...he is a cool guy don't get me wrong, but he has conditioned himself not to remain alone at all, which is difficult now cause for the first time in his life he is single...so the fukker goes out, surfing, works out, is playing squash, is working a full time job, jogging, and HE HAS to do all that stuff with other friends....he is always calling people 'lets go there, lets go here blah blah'..me i do some of that stuff, but i like to do them alone....

Parties are straight Clubs on the other hand. Even if I am drunk I hate that shyt with a passion.

id rather go to a club than a party.... you dont have to socialise in a club plus the music is loud and its crowded....you are more likely to be exposed as socially awkward in a party.

Yeah I had something similar never feeling I really "fit", for me it was "status" and whatnot but also race, being biracial I didn't really fit in any group growing up, must've played a role, plus I travelled quite a bit and always had to try to adapt on the fly

I don't even like clubs that much (at least not anymore). bytches on the dance floor taking up space not wanting to dance with nikkaz, nikkaz hating, getting in the way, cockblocking, etc...Unless I'm going with fa female(s), I really don't care for it anymore. My patience has grown a bit shorter since my younger days. I'd rather go to a party...

Man this phone shyt is crazy, at work I almost do everything by email and when my boss tells me "don't hesitate to call them" for the 10th time in the day I'm like

I have a strange case tho, I'm mostly an introvert, but sometimes i'm extremely extrovert, basically I'm an introvert when feeling "low" and "ok" and an extrovert when feeling "high", "great". And it's not really me "adapting" to a given environment, because when I'm feeling "extrovert" I actively look for people, call them, go out and everything. And then at some point that part "shuts down" and I go back to being mostly introvert.

1st of all I'm an introvert
nothing wrong with having a tendency to introversion but the downside of it is that communicating with others can teach you a lot about them but about yourself too so you miss out something when not communicating more. some people have interesting thoughts too !
I think one of the reasons introverts are not too enthusiastic about conversing with (supposedly!) complete strangers is that they don't see what they'll gain from it. not saying you'll always get something out from talk with random people but sometimes you find out you know somebody in common and that's how you map your entourage
can't stress the importance of social skills nowadays enough
