I knew a dude named Tyrone when I was in the second grade. His dad owned a doughnut store, so my portly ass made best friends with him before I had to move away. He'd always bring donuts for the class. :ohlawd: Good guy.

lol when i was growing up one of my best friends from kindergarden was named tyron. We swiched schools in first grade and he was on a bad path ever since. My mom would always be telling me about the bad shyt tyrone was getting into. And id always indirectly compare myself to Tyrone anytime my mom would bytch at me for something. lol

Tyrone has about 3 kids by 3 baby mommas and still lives with his mom. Nice dude though.

White people's favorite stereotypical black name :beli:

I don't even think I've ever known anyone with this name. I agree it's been pretty much phased out by the younger generation.

Its actually originally an Irish name. You would commonly find white irish people in the 1800s name Tyrone.

It startet gettin popular in the black community by the 1920s. After the 1960s its popularity decreased drastically...and by the 80s it was synonymous with stereotypical black name.

I know all this because its my name :snoop:

damn bruh, when did you learn the history behind all that. Do you have to break down the history often like gettin pulled over or at job interviews? It is a very interesting anecdote
