Maybe their goal isn't to be popular but just to have friends who don't care if they are attractive?

Are the other black nerds not ino the same things? They can't make friends, and introduce them to new things? No, that's not easy, but like I said, a lot of these people end up letting their white friends get away with saying raciat things, and in order to fit in with their white friends, they put down black people.

So you get made fun of for liking anime with black friends, but you call black people lazy and stupid, and say we deserve to be racially profiled in order to keep your white friends, BUT hey, you get to enjoy Sailor Moon with them. They make jokes at your expense, but that's better than their potentially black friends.

I was teased for being into computers and shyt but I never saw myself as not being accepted by African-Americans...I just saw myself not being accepted by “hood minded nikkas”. I don’t know the intricacies of the people in the OP but I think if you getting clowned by African Americans and run into the arms of White America you will mix their anti-Blackness with your experience as a child and start to label us all the same.

The issue with what you're saying is it takes away from what people experienced.
And the issue with that is it creates resentment and makes people develop hate for their own.

If a black person has specific hobbies unique to him, he would have to make finding friends who are black a priority.

Is that would he should do?

Instead of looking for people who are simply into the same shyt he is,should he say

"I need to find black people who are into the same shyt as me"?

I've been called weird because I skateboard by other black people, ive been called weird because I played PC games instead of console, been called weird because I may not agree with an opinion of another black person, some of yall get caught up so much in trying to be down that you dont do shyt that you are actually interested in, we only have one life to live and I be damn if I avoid something I have legit interest in because one of you insecure nikkas are trying to define my black and I make you uncomfortable, it's funny because we hate when white people label us but some of us wont let a nikka live if he ain't checking off all the stereotypical boxes

Let me help some of you confused nikkas out :mjlol:

Liking anime, manga, video games, or other nerdy shyt doesn't get you accused of acting/being white. PLENNY hood nikkas watched Toonami and had consoles. To this day, you can get a DBZ debate popping with the right people.

No, what gets you that label is constantly surrounding yourself around white folks. That's the part of the story nobody wants to admit. Just look at the pic in the OP...she's likely the only negro for miles. :loldenzel2:

You surround yourself with white people and carry yourself like them (and your grades/pronunciations don't have shyt to do with it), and you'll be treated as such.

fukk what these lames experienced. These nerds just want to be soooo different. Just hang around people you vibe with and stfu whining about who don’t like you for whatever reason. This is just another version of dating “Colorism”, thugs and ballers.

But you take a kid who grows up being teased because of what he's into.

He goes off to college, where people are accepting of him and the people telling him that they will accept him for who he is, are not black.

That's literally all he's wanted from black people his entire live but couldn't get it.

Lol I get that, you just described my childhood. It’s just at this point I’ve mellowed out and I don’t really have any resentment towards my peers for teasing me or whatnot because I liked anime, gaming, etc when I was in grade school. At a certain point when things got mainstream I was just happy to be able to enjoy my hobbies with more brehs.

Also FWIW I met a solid number of black nerds in college and I went to a PWI. I think at that point there’s more folks willing to let their nerd flag fly freely.

That's great.

More people should be mature enough to not even think about that shyt now that they are adults

Admittedly I'm not like that.

But my resentment comes from regular ugly nikka teasing not so much the "I'm black into white people stuff" shyt.

I just understand the resentment people have for the folks that used to pick on them.

I feel happy when I see the girl who curved me in HS is a single mother because I'm petty like that :yeshrug:
