Was the student supposed to look smart or in a good light here? Because the student looks like a soft ass fakkit and Shapiro looked reasonable. Of course I believe god doesn’t make mistakes and how you’re born is who you’re meant to be.
Yeah, that's just not how you handle Shapiro, and ironically, it's always clowns like that guy that get to public opportunity to speak to the idiot. All of the erratic behavior and insults just play into their hands of the perception of another crazed liberal from a crazed liberal institution.
The distinction between gender identity/dysphoria and delusion can be made logically, EASILY, you don't even have to be a logician or some top tier student. Sadly, 99% of the people that will open their mouths on the topic have no fukking idea of what they are talking about and to top it off, lack the skills in rhetoric to back it, so you get what is featured in the OP as a result.
Simply put, there is no logical contradiction, thus no delusion in trans people.
Argument 1:
1. If "women" can mean gender identity, trans women can identify as women
2. "women" refers to gender identity
3. Therefore, trans-women are women
Supplementary:
Women, colloquially speaking typically refers to the outwardly appearance of an individual. I love this question, and have yet to see a brainlet stump it: If we are walking on the sidewalk and approaching us is a feminine figure in a dress with shape that suggests they have large breasts and hips, and they have long hair and are carrying a purse, would you predict that person is a woman or a man? If you are acting in good faith, your prediction is going to be "woman".
Where this differs with sex, is that we can't know the sex of the individual without examining their chromosomes, at the least we would have to examine the figure for sexual characteristics within the body but that still doesn't give us the most accurate description of the individual's sex.
Argument 2:
1. "women" as a social construct stands opposite of "female", which denotes an objective property (the chromosome of a human is mind independent, which means our brains can seize to function, rendering us incapable of forming thoughts, and the chromosome still exists within us as a physical property, similar to how your body still exists even if you can no longer think)
2. Trans-women accept the term "women" as being a social construct that defines the outwardly appearance
3. Trans-women accept the term "female" as being a biological categorization on the basis of sex-chromosomes
4. Trans-women accept that their gender expression is women but their biology is male
5. Therefore, there is no delusion.
There would be delusion if a male (XY chromosome), said they were a female (XX chromosome). That is delusional as your physical properties are a literal opposite of what you claim to have. It would be like saying -1,000,000 = 1,000,000. They are saying that they are male (XY chromosome) but their expression is opposite of their assigned sex at birth. They recognize the distinction of mind independent and the social construct, and they also recognize the social construct was developed on the basis of sex, they simply reject the placing of the social construct on themselves. If you have a problem with them rejecting the social construct, I would love to get into that discussion and see how you mental gymanstics racist constructs being placed on black people.
