Ben Simmons has completely collapsed in the Boston series

The thing people are really not realizing, is Ben Simmon's biggest weakness isn't his shooting, it's his footwork

Ironic having a teammate like Embiid with hall of fame worthy footwork. Simmons looks awkward when dribbling the ball, travels damn near every time, gets caught in the air alot when passing, has a horrible footwork in the post also

Jayson Tatum is the best player on the Celtics. He's the only one who can create his own shot. And he hit so many clutch shots for them tonight.

He should of been the number one pick in the draft

What does this have to do with them playing Boston? Tatum is 20. Brown is 21. Rozier is 23.

But Boston also have vets like Morris and Hortford who also help lead the team

I like Ben, but the dude panicked. You can argue that the Sixers would be up 2-1 right now if Brown benched Simmons for McConnell in the second half of both games. But every young player needs moments and series like this. Hopefully he learns that there are parts of his game that need drastic improvements.

This is why NBA fans are annoying as fukk though. Mitchell, Tatum and Simmons are all exciting young players with bright futures. But instead of appreciating that the Stan Wars are already popping off. It’s gonna be a long and annoying 15 years

This is why I hate talking to sports fans. The absolute bias behind it. Ben went to LSU, so you’re going to ride or die for him. You don’t see his flaws, huh? Edit: and we gonna ignore phillys system that involves, handoffs, cuts, uptempo and three point shooters. Where shooters are constantly moving coming of pin down and curls. All Ben has to do is stop at the freethrow line and look behind and to the left and boom there’s a shooter. I’m sure if Tatum couldn’t shoot and lacked an offensive arsenal that’s what he would be resorted to doing, but I digress.

its more about match ups still. Boston is able to defend Sixers and Ben better than the Heat were able to. the key is to play Simmons and Embiid straight up, dont help. when you do, you cant recover to get on their shooters. Stevens knows this.

but I want to tell you nikkas something I been meaning to say for the longest....

Saric is one of the most overhyped players I have seen. he is a product of the leagues fascination with tall euro-cacs that can shoot 3's.

some team always picking these guys because they think that is such a special skill set now. it doesnt make you a great player. most of these guys dont even last in the league...the only reason he has is because he was a rook on a bad team and now he has Embiid/Simmons to take all the blame. I knew it was a reason that scrub came over here on a rookie deal when he couldve waited for more than mid-level.

this dude is trash to me. sure he looks good when the Sixers are rolling..but dont look at that. look at when Embiid and Simmons are struggling, he can not step up. look at Cavs, Indy, even teams like Washington. they all have a 3rd guy or at least a committee that can step up. if that 3rd guy doesnt do that, the team almost always loses. Dipo played like shyt a lot and they still took Cavs to the brink. I cant stand him. he is one of those that tries to get overzealous and cocky when the team is on a roll but when they are getting beat, bytch no where to be found.

u wrote a whole rant about saric not being able to carry the 76ers. He’s a role player of course he can’t carry them. Fultz is suppose to be the #3 player on the team, no saric.

He’s a stretch pf who plays his role, but he did carry them with scoring in the first round before embiid got back but how long do u expect a role player to do that.

Exactly.

There are players that get hyped up coming into the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc. There isn't a ton they can do about expectations bestowed upon them. Some may try to be humble and try and just be a "normal" teammate and not really focus on expectations, and some like Simmons may talk about their expectations, feel themselves, and vocally express a lot of confidence and sometimes arrogance. There is nothing wrong with either. However, you better believe if you fit the second description that the criticism and bashing will be much greater than if you fir the first description.

Simmons fits the second description.

Talk about how you're the real ROY and how the Celtics defense isn't doing anything better than the Heat and expect not to get shyt.
